Hey nier general I'm thinking of buying automata and have a few questions. I have little knowledge of this game. Previously, I enjoyed Bayonetta and Metal Gear Rising, and now I bought a ps4 and almost done with BloodBorne (just to give you a bit info about my taste)

What is the general feel of this game? It looks fun imo but I just don't have time for every game out there and there's a lot good games now

How long is it? How hard is it? How is the replayability? Is this game focused on performance like Devil May Cry and Bayonetta?

I'm kinda torn between this, Dark Souls 3 and Persona 5

Automata is the most fun I've had with a video game in a long time, its a shame, the combat isnt more like DMC3/4, but man, I'm so satisfied with this game.

All of them. The machines didn't create deficiences so they wouldn't win, they did it because they COULDN't win and were trying to evolve to a point where they could defeat the androids. YorHa had no idea that they were meant to be liquidated so they're trying their hardest to beat the machines.

I deleted the post because i was trying to make it spoiler text and it didn't work if it doesn't work this time then fuck it.

So what parts of the androids vs machines were actually genuine struggle between the two sides? The game reveals both the androids and machines want the war to continue because it gives them both a purpose. The machines sabotage themselves and create artificial inefficiencies so they won't win, and the androids feel so confident they can win that they can just throw away the bunker whenever they feel like it and only have it there in the first place as an evolution tool.

Was the fight between Adam + Eve and the androids genuine struggle between the two sides? Was that something the android illuminati didn't account for, and was losing that battle something the machines did not want? Who came first, the twins in the network or Adam and Eve?

I'm doing everything I can to get emil to change his route and it isn't working. I've saved/loaded and teleported around plenty, I spent 25 minutes running back and forth between the desert and the city getting his icon to reappear each time, and he's never moved from his route in front of the desert camp. Do not teleport to the camp if you see him on the map there because he's just gonna switch routes, you have to walk there.

Do route B and C before you move onto anything else, both are full of their own surprises and revelations so you'd be best playing them as soon after A as you can or you'll begin to forget about the events they're shedding new context on. But don't take that to mean that either are just throwing in some twists here and there to an otherwise straight replay of the game, B has tons of new stuff and C is entirely new.
