The generous part is being allowed to pay 30USD to buy certain characters. You just missed the anniversery, which gave out 70 free rolls, then 6000~9000 crystals (another 20~30 rolls).

It's legfes right now, meaning SSRs have a higher droprate, but honestly, you'll end up grinding for weapon drops anyway.
