Most of the damage and speed buffs only come into play midway or at the end of his chains.

The only thing that might help is the "fooking fast" light after a shove during swift justice. I think people just dodge the shove and longarm though.

The impale after heavy is nice though.

I personally really wanted the stance speed change so i;d have a better time dealing with PK and valk bullshit.

I'm an orochi main and I didn't know this for a while because I move directly into guaranteed top lights from my parries. Guard breaking after a parry is just wasting stamina unless I'm trying to hit them with a heavy for an execution.

I'm playing it right now. As far as i can tell, its pretty balanced, despite a few hitbox bugs for some of the shield operators and not including fucking glaz. Holy fuck. They gave him a thermal sight that can see through smokes and makes every enemy yellow so its literally a point and click adventure.. Team communication really matters the most though.

I think it's because Conqueror is, in theory, absolutely risk-free in a duel. You can't punish his shoulder charge. If you dodge out of the way (impossible as certain characters) then try to grab him, it doesn't work half the time. If you dodge and try to light him, it doesn't work half the time. It's essentially pure luck whether or not you can PUNISH A FUCKING WHIFF. If a Conqueror just turtles in a duel, he can't be hurt without making horrific mistakes and letting himself get hurt. This is exceptionally bad when you are playing as certain characters who have no openers at all.
