In prior expansions, that's simply not true. You don't need every gimmick epic to be competitive, so you really only need about half that number of packs. I'm F2P and I only grind about 80 packs per expansion, but I'm not at a loss for cards, just shit epics.

Of course, this set, with its better epics and increased Legendary count, might be different, although I don't think so. Most of the quests simply won't be playable.

Nesting Roc is insane. All of the streamers are going to say its an arena card, and pretend like they knew it was OP a week after the expansion comes out. 4/7 taunt if you have board control on turn 5 is fucking insane.

Bloodbloom is also insane. If you hit it on turn 2 or 3 you can get out a Bane of Doom (very high chance to kill a minion on turn 2 or 3, especailly if you played a 1 or 2 drop), Kara Kazham, or Feeding Time.

Zoo with Bloom Bloom, those six spells, and Nesting Roc will be a tier 1 deck 100%.

I think people are underestimating the Priest legendary a bit.

Priest has a ton of cheap spells, more than almost any other class. The median cost of a Priest spell is 2.

So on turn 10, playing the legendary + the 2/3 spell cost reduction dude, you would on average be able to play 3 spells for free without losing any cards. Potentially way more with things like Shadow Visions / PW:S / etc. drawing you into other 1 mana spells.

Because Priest has shit for Deathrattles and the minion does nothing to move him closer to winning the game. Compare with the Warlock quest which gives 2 3/2 Demons every turn (i.e. Demons that can destroy the enemy portrait) and the requirement is something that Warlocks already met playing normally, ALONG with having synergy with the legendary minion.

New mage quest shit and heres why

Babbling Book and Cabalist's Tome are really the only ways to get this to activate. I guess there's also Kabal Chemist, Courier, and Tony, but those won't really go off as often. 6 is a lot of spells. Tome is super slow, and after paying five mana you still have to pay the mana of possibly bad random spells.
Mage doesn't have a good board-centric deck with high power minions that would benefit from an extra turn, and Ice Lance is out of standard so that lowers the chance of a spell-based OTK (TTK?). Really, you don't get two turns from this, you get 1.5 because the quest spell costs five. This might be the worst of all of the quests, I think even the Paladin one is easier to achieve and has a better reward. I guess it does meet the requirement of "mage card that gives an extra turn" present in every card game though.

compare to hearthstone, i log in just about when the brawl starts on wed to get the pack as fast as possible because nobodies broken the brawl yet/high odds of someone instant coinciding, and for 1-2 hours once month force myself to suffer through shit until the two decks i even remotely tolerable to play that are crap gimmick decks can get rank 20 for the card back.

I play both OPTC and FEH, but I've at least temporarily uninstalled HS. The filesize gets too outrageous for a game I'm not playing. If there were login or even a decent first win bonus, I'd probably play every day.

The way it looks now, I'll probably just login for my Rag/Sylvanas dust and then see if they eventually add a better reward system.

I'm a fedoralorrd, so I will most likely play the warriorr quest deck.

However, all these retarded buff effects really make me consider some version of priest that runs mass dispel.
