It's the other way around. The backgrounds are really colorful and aren't wasted with ugly mono-chromatic fogs, the character designs are detailed and don't look clown-ish with fucked up proportions and the faces look actually nice.

I think the Arika fighting game April Fools is actually something out of Tekken 7.

I say this because I noticed some stuff:

1) The way muscles are shaped in Kairi's body remind me a lot of T7. Also his win-pose reminds me of Jin;

2) The colors of the VFX are really similar to the same ones in T7;

3) Garuda's Win Pose seems to be straight taken from someone in T7, but I can't put my finger on exactly who.

Maybe these are the new guest characters coming in T7?

no its not. theres a difference between having good looking character models and having a good looking game. the animations, camera angles, etc. are all bad in tekken. it doesnt all come together as a beautiful package. sfv's character models might not be as detailed but they go together with the stages, animations, voice work, etc. very well and feels like a cohesive and unique product.
