At this point you're scraping the bottom of the barrel, and introducing someone totally new after the series has come to its end in story mode seems like a bad idea. Jubei and maybe Trinity are the only "obvious" viable characters. Aside from them you've only got clones, time warp characters, characters you have to resurrect, Remix Heart characters, and Homura.

If you're asking how it is on Terumi, obviously bad for him. Jin is in the upper tiers for a reason, he can shut him out with normals with better range and priority, and has a good air to air game while Terumi struggles with his.
Terumi also has no projectiles, you can slice the ice swords with 4D if you want but it just gives Jin advantage more often than not.
Could be worse, but you're going to have to learn to instant block certain strings if you want to hope to punish him ever. Your AA and jab is good for his jumping resets, just be aware that Jin can easily bait the AA and still get a full combo on you.
Remember to 6C his horizontal DP on block. Try not to burn OD just for life lead, you want to threaten Jin with OD/ODR into bullshit damage if he's trying some fuzzy reset shit.

You know when Amane does his standing drill and jump cancels it into the air drill on block? You can AA that. Just don't try to hard read it, because he has a projectile he can use instead. I think you can jab it if you're quick too, but you might trade.
As for in general, I don't find it as bad, it's just daunting because Amane has fuckloads of range. You have to realize, though, that a lot of his attacks don't have hitboxes along the way, for example in front of him. Your gameplan should be trying to run under him and high jump normal/throw or AA as he's landing (your run speed is fucking fast), and run up barrier or run hop barrier towards him while he's grounded (likely throwing out normals). Punish his whiffs with IADs whenever you can but it won't be that often against someone decent.
Messenga used to be godlike in this matchup in CPEX, but since it lost strike invuln, it's not so much. But you can still near fullscreen punish whiffs fairly late from the air or the ground, so keep this in mind when you have 50 meter.
The rest of it is knowing what his setups are and how to tech them/block them which I can't really help you with, I kind of don't recognize them until I fight one.

Well sure, but I'm not good enough to beat the best players in /blaz/, so take them how you will

-contend neutral with 5D (has extended hurt frames on startup)
-always jump in normal after a jump cancel against opponents with a DP
-abuse 6B often (it's so slow you can DP it on reaction, or IB or backstep)
-go for full blockstrings on barrier opponents often (reset it with stagger pressure from microdash 5B or 2A instead, or j.2D from a jump cancel sparingly, the only thing a full string is good for here is a surprise 6C rapid to catch a jumper)
-forget that you should be varying 5B stagger pressure with 2B or 214C after to keep opponents on their toes
-do stagger pressure on opponents who aren't doing barrier, they can punish you when you microdash
-abuse 6C without meter
-blow meter midscreen without thinking about whether or not you need defensive options in your matchup or the resources to round rob (even though some OD combos can net you 100% meter, it's prorated to shit by the end of the loops so you'll get around 4-5.5k instead of 7-8k)
-finish combos with soutenjin if they don't kill, they really nerfed its minimum damage and it's disadvantageous
-forget that 3C exists in blockstrings, because you can do shit like 2B 5B 3C or 214C unwary opponents, and 3C is a great starter to work with - it seems to have more range than 2C, and you can 5D on block after to push people out of punish range, plus it has less of a gap than 5B 2C 5D does. If you hit 3C tip, 5D into 6C or messenga is a thing.

There's a couple others who could debatably also make a return, like Bang or Taokaka, but I'd put them as less likely than the others mentioned. Noel and Jin honestly seem to be completely written off at this point. They might experience something if they were to notice something, but the epilogue made it pretty clear that they had moved on. Nu will probably return in some manner, though I won't be surprised if she just gets reformed into Alpha or something. Kokonoe, Tager, and Azrael I can see returning almost only because of Sector 7 stuff.

Personally I don't care either way, as long as they actually pick up where they left off by having Rachel pursue Ragna and Tsubaki do whatever the fuck she's supposed to be doing, I'll be satisfied. It would still be great to have Hazama back.

I am trying to learn Blazblue, what are some beginner tips?

Learn to Barrier OS. When you input 2/4ABC, you get a throw tech if they go for a throw, otherwise you just stay blocking. Throws have a pretty long window in this game, but when you're a newcomer they can feel cheap as fuck when starting out.

Learn basic hitconfirms. There's no reason to try and learn the most optimal stuff, because the combos are generally pretty long, meaning that there are many oppritunities to drop shit. If you can confirm into a BnB with a knockdown, then you can already pressure your opponent.

Don't bother playing against the AI unless you're just practicing hitconfirms, because it reads inputs and acts in wonky ways that will give you extremely shitty habits.

Don't be too afraid to Burst. While it doesn't become as good at high-level play, or even mid-level, as a newcomer it can give you alot breathing room to know that you're using it as a resource for breaking out of combos rather than trying to use it offensively for Overdrive and stuff. Same goes for Barrier really, against better players you can get punished pretty hard for overusing it because of the additional blockstun, but as a newcomer you won't be able to take much benefit from avoiding it regardless. The additional pushback helps alot to let you get out of pressure situations.

Don't get discouraged when you get almost perfected. BB has incredibly strong offensive tools, so it's easy to get run over in this game. Don't take it as you fucking up too badly, it's just the nature of the game. 1-2 combos + 1 combo with super ender can sometimes be enough to make you lose.

Also, it's best to not start out with one of the most complicated characters unelss you're already set from the start to stick with the game. What character did you have in mind to play?

5a's on some characters are really bad to throw out as they'll whiff on most chars doing anything(Terumi/Ragna) it took me a while to get mashing 5A out system and I kept getting CH because of it(pretty fine for an AA sometimes though)

If you're in the air and near the enemy, barrier, if you want to J.C a normal(on block) barrier, barrier is your friend, don't do it 100% of the time(when on the ground and blocking) but learn when to use it.

OD is godlike, learn a simple OD combo and confirm into it and you'll get it back before the end of the round.

Don't forget CA exists, can really get you out of a bad situation.

BB's combo system was really odd to me at first, so I really recommend grinding some basic Ragna stuff before trying to face someone, just to get used to the amount of histun in the game.

Neutral is important in every fighting game and it's no different here, if you can learn to AA you can beat the average player.

Don't forget that OD also gives you a reversal, one that's safe on block, it can help you get out of a lot of hopeless situations, and the fear of EA can let you do things like mash 2A(because most players will go on the defensive if you GCOD), use your judgement there.

Noel is one of the worst characters in the game, but we'll likely get a balance patch around summer which might chance that somewhat. She isn't too hard to play, but she does develop pretty bad habits.

Rachel is considered one of the harder characters in the game to play, but she's also one of the strongest. I don't recommend her to a newcomer because her inputs are very different, and her have a different principle behind them because of the Drive function.

Out of those, I would recommend playing Nu-13. She's not super good in this game, and probably even below mid-tier, but her execution isn't difficult, and gameplan is easy to grasp. If you do decide to learn Noel instead though, you should ask Alizonius for tips and stuff. He's a player from the general.

CT had a problem where it wouldn't list things as 100% cleared unless you both won and lost every fight in the Story Mode, so it would be hard as fuck to know what you actually need to do to progress. You don't need 100% for anything, just get the actual endings.
