An obvious thing is to simply lead them. Spamming down corridors works pretty well, but they can dodge that. Firing the grenades over walls or other obstacles works pretty well, too, in my experience. Other than that, you just have to sort of get a feel for the bombs to hit them effectively. You've got to reach a sort of zen with Junk, y'know? Play him in quickplay until you think you've got the hang of it.
Also, keep traps up as much as possible. They don't even have to be in sneaky spots most of the time, just placing one out by the point might get you a free kill on a Tracer who's not paying attention.
Keep in mind I'm a gold shitter, so take everything I say with a grain of salt.

Winston is an initiator, he needs his team to follow him into battle and needs a good healer to keep him in the fight.

Winston's tesla cannon does the same dps as if he were to punch enemies. The upside is that it can hit multiple people. If you can dive in on multiple enemies with team support you set yourself up for a good fight. Use your ult as a form of sustain, it heals you up to full health and gives you 500 extra hp. Use your bubble not as a rein sheild, but to cut their team in half, ideally you separate ana from rein and bully ana while your team fucks up rein

When will people realize that team composition is highly flexible. A team with two healers and symmetra can do great. You have your main healer ana/mercy just pumping out big heals all game, and you have your off healer like lucio or zen helping the team with mobility / damage.

Sym has great synergy with every support.
Nanoboosted sym is terrifying
Speedboosted sym is impossible to hit
Mercy died with res? Teleport that bitch in.

IMO start playing quick play or arcade a bit in case you don't, practice a couple of heroes per category (I'd suggest s76 + another offense, rein + another tank, ana + another healer, maybe learn symmetra spots? idk I did), and when you're confident enough with at least 6 heroes (bare minimum imo) and jump back in.

No, 76 doesn't need a nerf, the others need buffs. Part of the reason we have the tank meta in the first place is because DPS got nerfed to the point where tanks and healers can DPS most DPS characters.

Pharah's fine, the most I would like to see is some kind of ground pound option, just to drop out of the sky quickly (and truthfully Pharah is a very good answer to tanks since they can't really touch her)

McCree maybe needs less harsh damage falloff or a shorter cooldown on his roll, but he doesn't feel like he's in a terrible spot.

76 is the only one that feels like he's too good at everything from every range imo, his gun does crazy damage while also having greater burst than McCree thanks to helix, heals faster than if he had a zen orb on him, and sprints are pretty good for jukes

Start swinging when Roadhog has his hook on CD. Don't swing if u see snipers. Don't walk into Mei wall traps. Bait hooks and shatters by dropping ur Shield for a split second. Don't ult as soon as Rein drops his shield. Swing at him once first to make sure he is not baiting you. Putting ur shield up slows u down but if u need to get out of bad position. Drop ur shield, jump, put your shield up and the second you touch the ground let go of the shield and jump again then hold the shield etc.... U will move with your normal speed while blocking a good amount of the damage directed at you.
If u land a shatter. Do this combo: swing fire swing charge.
Don't fire strike at the choke if you have your ult.

Overwatch dev team has stated multiple times that they make their design and balance decisions on their internal playtesting and how they feel about the game.

Honest gut-punching truth is that Kaplan played Ana, internally, a bunch of times, and thought that all things were okay.

Lets say you are at 2500SR. You play what ever the team needs whether tank/dps/support. You kind of become a jack of all trades, master of none. On the other hand, this Hanzo main is __also__ at 2500SR, but he got there playing Hanzo. Doesn't matter what the team needed, he played Hanzo. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. Sometimes it would have worked but his team got too tilted because he was playing Hanzo. He knows how to play Hanzo better than you know how to play your main. Respect him and work with him. As a top 500 player it's hard to get into new heroes without being a huge handicap for your team. When I learn a new character I typically spend 50-100 hours on them in comp, perfecting synergy with as many different team compositions and improving mechanical skills before I start using them in skrims. You need a smurf to avoid deranking rapidly every time you want to learn a new hero.

I mainly care about getting to play at the highest possible SR against the best players so I can keep improving my skill. 100-200 SR might not seem like a huge difference, but in top 500 it is huge.
