Just got back into the game after taking a long break in the middle of season 2 or 3? not sure. The last game i played was at the end of 2012.


Currently enjoying and playing a lot of diana mid. Who else can I try that's fairly similar? My friends are all gold/plat which is a bit above where I was when I quit the game. I was like 1500 or 1600 elo, really low gold.


I've been told to try Ahri and Akali. I just picked up Leblanc and Lee Sin for shits and gigs, but havent gotten around to playing them yet. I tried a bit of new Kat, and find her incredibly unfun.

I want Veigars old stun back because I hate the gameplay that accompanies the new stun. Its not a matter of getting gud and landing the stun. The stun simply cannot be used in the same situations as it could previously and its left gaps in Veigars gameplay that are impossible to fill.

You can't stun ADC's and kill them
You can't stun assassins and kill them
You can't catch anyone that wants to run away that has an escape
You can't engage reliably.

Veigar was turned from a gimmick assassin that was fun to play and unfun to play against into a "balanced" generic support mage that has incredible scaling and an overpowered ultimate that's unfun to play and unfun to play against. New Veigar is fucking gay.

He has to stun you once...

Granted with new Veigar you basically never have control of the situation because you're shit can't really be used offensively or defensively. The delay is too long, .5 seconds is too long, and 95% of the time, especially against good opponents Veigar NEEDS support in order to fight because he can't land stun, and therefore he can't ;and his W, and therefore he's fighting with a Skillshot Q and his ult at low range compared to a lot of other mages much easier to land abilities.

New Veigar is a shitty champion design because instead of crutching on a skill based stun that rewarded proper positioning and reflexes, he now relies on a mechanic of literally just racking of free AP and getting retarded scaling.

He isn't fun, the rework is shit design.

He's probably hardstuck plat and bitter and bitter about it. There's no such thing as a skillcap it's a fucking videogame, you can learn and improve. This goes for everything but especially games.

These things helped me:

Its just playing against veigar before wasn't about the engagement. You beat Veigar by starving him of CS and building defensively during his power spikes. Veigar was a champion with plenty of STRATEGIC counterplay, but if you let him do whatever the fuck he wanted he already won.

because GP is unrewarding if you play badly, barrels are difficult to learn and get good at whereas yasuo and riven just have to mash buttons for damage.

GP mains are marginally above riven and yasuo mains because at least they can play riot's barrel minigames decently, there is no GP main that exists that doesn't know how to barrel because they wouldn't be playing GP if they sucked at it

I haven't been playing her much lately so I don't know how the new build is but I pretty much only played ashe from S1-G3. She can be played aggressively and passively. She just has so much utility that even when she's behind she's still useful to the team if you aren't a complete potato

lee sin as a champion pisses me off simply because ward hopping exists; I do not resent players who utilize it to impressive effect (aka they don't do it slow as a slug in molasses) but I still feel like it's bullshit to have to deal with that at all.

far as playerbase goes Riven I enjoyed playing her before her stigma got settled in and now I can't play her because even possibly being the designated punching bag sucks, especially in low plat which'd be the only place I'd play her since I can't be bothered to play her/top enough to actually learn whatever combos it is people obsess about.
