I have no idea why people subject themselves to Arena. Tavern Brawl can be fun, but Arena is a pure slog in the most RNG way possible. You fight complete retards with absolute amazing decks who are 3-2 like you, simply because they are so dumb, but their deck manages to edge it out for them.

I'd rather buy my packs directly with the 100 gold and only play ranked, where I at least have complete control in what deck I play, instead of being forced to play with garbage like an Ancient Shade.

I don't have a particular problem with those cards. I just think that it would be nice to force the opponent to use burn or minions.
With 8 health it's out of range from any used burn and minions of the same or lower mana cost. With dealing 3 damage to any minion attacking, it means minions with 3 or less health can't kill it.

Might be too strong in some situations while useless in others, dunno. Just thought it would be a interesting combination of effects and stats. Although it can still be killed by hard removal.

My favorite card is Domo.

With the cards you have access to as a new player you're not getting above rank 15 for a while without buying a ton of packs with real money.

Of course this has nothing to do with skill, HS just has a rather obscene entry cost due to the vast difference in power between the basic starting cards and the cards available in packs and adventures. At best you might be able to craft a serviceable aggro deck in a few months by dusting all the cards you unpack from your gold and get to rank 10 after enough mindless aggro grinding.

No, I like it. Only issue I have is that it's too slow in the meta.

The buff it gives is incredible value and has a really good impact in a control game but 6 is a lot of mana to be spending on a card that isn't a minion or a board clear. I fear that the meta will be too fast for this card to see any real play.

Also in regards to the quest. a 6 mana buff is really slow to be relying on for finishing your quest (which you ideally want to be completed by turn 5). Paladin will have exactly 3 good buffs in the next rotation.

Two of these are slow as fuck buffs. What paladin needs to really make it's quest a reality is a fourth high quality buff that is also fast early game.

As things stand you can't really complete the Paladin quest without putting cards into your deck that are quite bad. You'll generally want to run 2 Blessing of Might, 2 Blessing of Kings and 1 Spikeridged Steed (Steed is too expensive to run as a 2 of). So either you jam a second Steed in there or you put some of the more garbage buffs in there and fill your deck with terrible shit like Hand of Protection. Even Blessing of Wisdom, while decent, is usually better played on your opponent's minion rather than your own because it forces them to suicide that minion or give you free card draw.

And we're talking about the minimum amount of cards you'll need to include for completing the quest to be possible. To actually make it reasonable to expect that you can complete the quest before turn 12-15 you'll need about 10 spells in your deck that can target your minions.

So yeah, long story short another powerful early game buff would have been very welcome in regards to Paladin's quest.

Even in their own expansion they can't stay consistent. What with one card having "Adapt, then Adapt" and another having "Adapt Twice" despite both being the exact same effect.

This has become several discussions fused into one.

1) Cards that give buffs are not formatted the same way as a card that has those buffs inherent.

2) Card terms are inconsistent across multiple spectra, to the point that they can't decide if something is *in* or *on* the battlefield, and functionally identical effects are worded differently enough to cause confusion.

3) They have arbitrary rules that they don't even stick to.
Like, look at Chillmaw. It has more text than Cyclopean Horror, but they made the text smaller and moved it down a tier for it's Deathrattle effect.

Speaking of Servant of Yogg-Saron, that Tortollan card in Un'Goro is going to piss some people off. It's basically Servant except you can pick a board clear or other spell that will always hit the enemy for it to cast.

With a high roll it's an 8 mana 5/4 that casts Flamestrike or Blizzard on your opponent's board.

I don't think it'll see much play because 8 mana is a lot for something that unreliable. However the discover mechanic makes it considerably more reliable than Servant is while essentially having the same effect.
