Trying to make something that bullies Scoiacancer and Wound SK to a lesser extent. Any input?

The idea is to get card advantage with Avallac'h or a big R2 keep, Griffin the Scorch and pancake the fat sapper with a last move weather effect in R3.

So I wasn't running 3 promotes anyway, only 2. Didn't even realize it. Also considering dropping stennis for thaler which seems like a weird thing to do but it's more value on my board while still getting me through my deck. Yes I lost out on CA potential but honestly this deck doesn't play long round 2s much of the time anyway if I have stennis I toss him and pass 90% of the time.

Schirru was a horrible never played card when his scorch hit both sides but I wouldn't be opposed to removing his trigger on friendly spells in theory, could possibly be a dead card too often to be worth a gold in many decks but would force stronger baiting game to make your opponent flip him and require smart timing imo

Blueboy Lugos could use a Permadeath or Relentless tag I think. You can spawn way more whales over the course of a game than the opponent can reliably deal with. At least YenCon goes away after the round.

For Toruviel I'm more bothered by the synergy with Vrihedd Dragoon. You buff her up, play her, and then she's invincible. The only way to deal with her (without Morenn) is to weather the row she's on and hope it doesn't get cleared, even though every ST deck runs 3 first lights.

Schirru is just a stronger Ida and the fact that he can be triggered by both players' spells makes him impossible to play around. Just accept that you're getting Scorched and try to minimize your losses.

the only ones you will never see played are the ones he plays on your side of the board. You can "waste" a special card to check for Ida/Schirru, although purposfully popping Schirru at the right time can be tricky as he usually won't be played unless you have something worth losing. You can feel for Toruviel if he keeps playing into that row, especially after you remove a unit (remember she can only get value from 2 cards on the left and 2 on the right)

Toruviel vs Ciaran is the biggest guessing game and it's hard even for an experienced player to get the call right a lot of the time which is part of why ambush is dominant right now.

If a first light pulled it then it's probably a sapper. The only other option is fire bomb trap and that's almost never run.

As the other anon said it's extremely difficult to tell if the card played is toruviel or ciaran. Hell, sometimes I'll play Ida Emean into a spot perfect for toruviel just to make them give up the round. Assuming the worst case scenario might help you until you get better.

Toruviel will be placed where it's most possible to get its buffs, generally ranged.
Fireball traps get played early without much regard to the row.
Sappers they tend to play around the board to limit shit like weather but they can also can also try to fool you into thinking it's toruviel.
Schirru will get played once there's a big unit on your side.
Ciarin generally is played to look like it's toruviel and you sort of have to act as if it is.
If you see witchers and then KoB played into an ambush it's probably toruviel, especially if they start putting down vrihedd brigades.

The deck I've seen played a lot is 3 medics 3 emissaries 3 brigades, so you can get an emissary, kill it with a brigade, rez it with a medic, and get a big chain going, to thin your deck of most of your bronze units.

Something along the lines of what I said.

3 of each of those bronzes, a thunder, a lacerate(could do without this now that less people play henselt), a couple of first lights, one or two of the impera brigades, and a single rot tosser.

For silvers, roach, auckes, cantarella, decoy. Last two are up to you, I run Joachem and Treason.

For golds, Cahir, Vilgefortz, last two can be anything you want. I run Steffan and YenCon.

The deck isn't that good really, I don't know why people play it. Not nearly enough control to be a control deck.

Some other NG decks you can try are the Mill deck(operator+albrich+decoy, Cahir and Tibor, the idea is to make them draw all their bronzes, and then you can use Cahir and Tibor without them drawing), and Morvran + spies is supposedly decent.

There's no tier 1 NG deck though.

Problem with QG is it requires massive setup to work, and once the QG are actually out on the board the deck has very few ways of generating additional value. It's super good round 3 but it's hard to win before then. Most good players will try to 2-0 you because you're almost never winning round 1.

You may or may not get enough Ekimmaras to do that in a game. If you're eating a bunch of Arachas they can wipe out your siege row entirely and fuck that plan up completely, or paste your ghouls, or take out your two weaker Crones. Cow in general is a bit OP, I think it should be changed to one unit or no more than 8 points of strength, whichever is greater.

Vicovaro's can be completely useless in many situations, especially when you draw one from an emissary or a first light in round 1, or if your opponent doesn't have good bronzes in his graveyard.

It's at the very most the value of an opponents bronze card + 2, at the cost of being inconsistent.
