this, I played 100 hours of overmeme last summer, and I deeply regret it, game was shit

I also put about 20 hours into HoTs and 1 hour into league last fall before settling on dota, i dont know enough about league bc everything was locked behind a paywall, but hots is so unfulfilling, the new objectives are fun at first, but even "burst" heroes can only take the squishy heroes to half hp, you pretty much just hang around objectives constantly healing until 1 person accidentally dies.

We live in the "jack of all trades, master of all trades" era so it isn't hard to figure out. Where certain heroes are almost straight upgrades to a dozen others.

Int heroes in general are absolute trash with the lone exceptions of Necro, Ogre, Silencer, and CM (to fuel the tanky dps enginer with mana, see below)

Agi heroes are mostly all just bad versions of Jug, Monkey King, or Lone Druid

Str heroes, the ultra cancer is Pudge, Axe, Centaur, and Slardar. Underlord recently nerfed out of the tanky DPS cores.

Another game I had an Ember who died because he didn't have a remnant to tp to, and when I called him out he just kept bragging about how he was 500 MMR above me. Well that depends. If your MMR is where you want it to be and you're happy with it, that's all that really matters. It also doesn't matter if you can climb with a low behavior score. However, if you want to play with nicer people who are more level headed and probably just overall more enjoyable to be around (and may be more conducive to gaining MMR) then I suggest trying to raise it.

Any tips for farming better? I seem to always be behind my counterpart on the enemy team. I play a lot of initators/gankers/supports (who don't usually farm well) and find myself waiting to start a fight/for a fight to start when I could go get a jungle camp in the meantime.

A good example is my clockwerk games. I waste a fair chunk of time waiting in the trees/roaming for a hook opportunity when I could just farm 2-3 camps instead. It's not really a TP issue, I use those fairly effectively. I'm 4.5k btw.

Slark has 3 seperate abilities that serve as crutches for shit players. His ultimate, his purge, and his pounce.

But the truly baffling thing is his night vision, which makes no god damn sense. Other heroes have to invest in skill points for it (like Luna) or compensate with poor day vision (NS) but Slark still retains his stupid night time vision that was removed even if it made sense flavor wise on enchantress and drow.

So in addition to 3 separate abilities to crutch on he's also hard to gank at night.
