You want to focus on MAG or LB building for maxwell.
Her LB is one of the best strategies in the game, but it's MAG based.
Find a friend maxwell and you can clear basically all content up until aiagon without breaking a sweat.

It's a 33hit holy chain that basically guarantees she can use her LB again next turn.

That's kinda nuts. If you're going that route I guess having DW wouldn't matter all that much except to help build that first LB. It sounds like it would be optimal but not entirely necessary... looking at her now if I had to build her MAG it would be kind of a pain with her weapon choice. I'm guessing the best route would be to outfit her with stuff like Cupid's Robe and Creepy Mask, with a bunch of MAG+30%'s. Unless there's an Equip Sword materia in the future, in which case That + 3x Letters and Arms would probably be better...

I mean, you don't really have to build her for magic, it's mostly just an infinite chain and an infinite source of LB for other units. Maxwell's own damage is still pretty crappy even if you do try and raise her MAG, it's only 390% max
After the first one goes off, you have a guarantee that basically every unit will have a full LB gauge, and you can use finishers to deal the actual damage.

It does with two, but at that point you're probably better slotting in an actual finisher, because whatever you put will be doing 4x damage anyway.
Still might be cool with someone like Rikku on the team, you'd be basically invincible while still shitting out damage.

After testing it out, maxwell can chain pretty well with one memelandu too. I was able to get it to 9chain just fucking around, but I'm sure you could go higher if someone datamined the frames.

Is there a list of White Magic Affinity users sorted by level? I'm curious as to who can make use of the Curaja materia that is coming. As far as I know every unit that can equip it already has Curaja or something better so it's rather useless

I beat Terra! My A team's first U+ boss clear. Couldn't have done it without investing heavily in synergy and one of my raidbro's Sentinel Grimoires. Was a pretty close fight, but everyone was standing at the end. I hope the fact that my team is a fire mage team will help even the increased difficulty of the U++ boss.

The problem with the U++ is that his mass stops are a big fuck you to lower mind characters, since they lose several turns. Your healer usually recovers, but you lose several turns which means your buffs can run out, and you might not have had time to build enough bar to get them back up when they recover. It can be a really big problem if he decides to spam AoE while your wall runs out.

Also not the same guy, but a few of my gripes:
With the chain meta, you are limited to a few units who can build chains, and basically need to have 2 of the same unit on your team (except Agrias and Orlandu in the future).
There's a severely low amount of mage equipment available, that coupled with the difficulty in chaining with mages makes them essentially only useful for clearing trash mobs.
The TMR system is extremely dumb, you have to run the first dungeon in the game thousands of times in order to get good equipment.
The gacha has abysmal rates.
You cannot sort your abilities/remove them from the list, so every time you enter a battle you need to do the whole "scroll to the bottom, scroll a bit up, click ability".

I only keep playing because the macro plays for me. Kind of hypocritical of me to complain about TMRs, but whatever.

I think the only other 5* not shown there that I have is Entrust. None of them are honed of course. I started playing during the XII event earlier this month and have been trying to do as much as I can, did a lot of orbfest grinding. Most of my major orbs are pretty spent now. I don't think you need this many 5* skills at this level. I'm almost positive I could pull off the same victory with 4* equivalents of those skills and the multiple chain spells is only because my pulls forced me into a fire mage team (if you're new like me, you're probably running a physical team).

The TM and LB progression systems incentivize players to leave a machine running to macro the game 24/7. If you don't want to do that, you have to pay a lot of real money to get trust masteries at a reasonable rate. The augment system adds blingee effects to character sprites, which make them look tackier instead of cooler as you progress. Those are just bad design choices, morals aside.

No, the current rate of rainbows are 1%. The rate only goes up to 5% on the first draw of 10+1 draw and 100% with a 5* EX Ticket. The banner only influences what unit gets a rate up. And there are banners where 2 or more rainbow units gets rate ups so that means that they will be split among themselves.

How does FFRK compare to FFBE? I started BE is a few weeks ago and it is pretty fun and I have some decent units but with all the events to farm im barely touching story and waiting on energy to regen is slow as shit.

When I'm bored of FE and waiting for energy to regen at work another game might not be awful, but if it requires too much focus and grinding daily it will probably be too many games to mess with at once.

You don't need to kill all the chocobos in one turn, they only do a lot of damage if you leave them with little hp.
And you could still kill them all in one turn by using Cleansing Strike and switch every time one is dead. Even easier with a Soleil buff.

Also you don't need to have your Orlandu friend set at the same spot as your event farming team. So you could still have your Odin in the event and be useful for Ifrit to other anons.

The first one might be a pain, but the 2nd one you can probably get away with just doing the debuff and get enough levels to master. Although keep in mind that you only have to complete it to get the MC3. It's only 3 stamina for the whole dungeon too, so you could always repeat if you want to try for mastery afterwards.
