Partecipate, don't leech and aim for individual rank during gw and you will get a bar faster than you think. So let's use chev as an example. Every chest has an individual drop rate, with 4 gold chests having nearly 100%, host and mvp reds having 100%, two separate gold flipchests with weapon and summon having separate <5% chances, and vice/third place chest being either red or gold but not both.
For flip chests, chances of appearing are default*(100%+TH+summon chances+weapon chances+esser+journey drops).
For gold/red chest content the "better" drops like SSR weapons/summons for red and SR weapons(?) and gold animas for gold get their chance of being the loot for each chest boosted in a similar fashion, reducing drop rates for other loot on chest's loot table.

Did I make any mistakes here?
