Just wrapped up Gael. None of the bosses actually killed me more than once, but they were all incredibly fun. A+ shit.

As far as gear goes, I think I got everything but the hammer (I cocked up and the guy never invaded me), the war banner, and the heal (which I assume is a covenant reward).

One thing bugs me though. I actually finally found the purging monument, but can't seem to find Lapp anywhere to tell him about it. He sort of disappeared after I saw him after the first Judicator.

I was a dummy and went in at NG+4 and some bosses were literally oneshotting me with 40+% absorption and 1800 HP. My 469 AR weapon wasn't even turning the final boss's HP yellow.

Yes. This whole "The Curse is Gwyn's fault" thing is pure nonsense disseminated by memesters on the Internet. The Undead Curse is a perfectly natural consequence of the fading of the First Flame that is perfectly logical due to its function as the source of all Disparity.

There is actually no set answer for this. We're never given an answer on what exactly the "seal of fire" is, despite it being very reminiscent of the seal of water of New Londo. If it's linked directly to the First Flame, or merely some other plot detail that we never see [such as Gwyn's promise that "he'll come for Filianore when the time is right", we'll probably never know.

The intro to DS1 has been retconned a bit, but is still a fairly reliable major source of information on the setting.

The two biggest asterisks that need to be added to it is that
A - Pygmies also participated on the fighting.
And
B - The entire war against the Everlasting Dragons lasted for a LOT longer than the time frame of the intro would have you believe. It almost makes it sound like the Lords killed all the dragons in an afternoon or in a single battle, which we have known since the original game that isn't true.

It does the same amount of damage as the Darksword at 40/40 plus a tiny bit of fire damage so it's not too bad at all. You can party the Weapon Art but if you're fast then the surprise factor makes it difficult to time a party and far easier to just roll away from, so you'll usually get at least one hit in.

Let the fire fade, and let the natural order of the world set into place. The firekeeper tells you, that one day new flames will rise in the future - so its not the end of the world.

To anyone wondering who hasn't seen it yet, the Seething Chaos pyromancy from lmao2bats is utter dog shit. It's a sticky grenade, sort of. It only gets to do it's full animation with full damage if you DON'T hit an enemy or person. You need to throw it on the ground and hope something is near it's explosion after the like the solid 3 to 4 full seconds it takes to explode. If you hit an enemy or player with it, it just does a small amount of damage and that's it. No delayed mega explosion like it would if you throw it on the ground.

His head takes quadruple the damage of the rest of his body. Don't even bother with anything but the head.

Sticking right by his eyeballs and whacking his horns will make him use his claw swipes a lot. The second is weirdly delayed, but he always leaves his head lowered for a while after. The overhead pound is much the same. The standup roar bite is tons of free hits if you can block it, or just a couple if you need to roll along with it. The charge is very predictable, but also unblockable.

When he goes on his retard rampage, just move to his left or right so you can roll through the first fire sweet, then sprint after his dick the entire way, because he can't hurt anywhere but in front. That way, when he stops, you'll be in position to smack his head. His standup firebreath is just "run away". His sweep you can roll into and slap his head. His straight is easily sidestepped. If in doubt, a fire blocking greatshield can laugh at it.

Shin Godzilla beam is always a static pattern, and does not track you at all. Memorize it once, and you can just stand in one of many blindspots. Pursuer swarm is just "spam roll".

Constantly stay on his face, don't fear combos, and be actually really aggressive, and he's easy enough. The last chunk of his HP is even just a scripted riposte. Beat him NG+4 solo second try.

Tears of Denial helps for the final nuclear fuck you Second Impact beam though.

If your oponent rolls backwards a lot, cast twisted wall of light before casting great deep soul to make it arc in the air. Won't hit unless they roll backwards. You can also cast affinity and afterwards time twisted wall of light as soon as your oponent enters affinity trigger range, twisted wall will make the dark orbs fly in random directions while still tracking your oponent.

Anyone here tried using twisted wall of light together with the new dark spell? Want to know if you can also make it bounce

Flash Sword is 4 FP per swing; 3 with the dusk ring. With 60 int and your mandatory sorcerer gear, it should be hitting just a little less than a quality straight sword does.
