Yeah money is most likely the reason for the lack of lore. But Chu hasn't really shown yet any progression with the story, so it's a let's wait and see if he can hold his promise. I just don't like his style of constantly setting up hooks for stories and not following through on any of them, he could at least try to string them together. I tried playing D.Va like a DM machine the way Geoff wants me to, and DM in it's current state just takes too long to cooldown. During cooldown, she's just nothing but a fat, mobile waste of space.

I can do jack shit with her meme blasters, if you try to solo take down any hero out of position by yourself, they'll most likely kill your mech before you kill them. Even when you get the jump on them, you still can't kill most heroes fast enough unless they're retarded.

If Geoff really doesn't want her to be played aggressively, they still need to buff her DM if they want her to be anything but a fat, mobile and hard to kill waste of a hero slot.

From the moment you first see me eye to eye in the enemy team, you have under a second to react before I press shift, stun you and instantly kill you with a single left click and a melee hit without having to bother with any aiming, the hook does bring my targets directly in front of me after all. Oh, and if my hook is on cooldown, I can simply right click into your general direction to deal over 400 damage instantly, without having to charge my shots like Widowmaker does or anything. Been stuck in gold/Plat for 2 seasons even dropping to 1900 this season. Bought a new account, played try hard in qp so the game match me with good players. In comp placements I got matched with plans in the first two then diamonds then some masters at the last two. Ended up placing high diamond and just ranked to masters after 3 games post placements. When I'm playing 76 I'm either mowing down targets effeciently and have all the gold or "nothing is dying".

Why? What is not happening? I try to focus fire anything that gets out of position but otherwise it's just stand behind Rein until we break shield right?

that's 13 games.. Until your golden boost rounds wear off it's not a real season. So that's 30ish rounds or so early on. Figure if you play 100+ rounds of comp this season you will end up back down to 2k.

I get the little things like Tracer mocking Reaper's "Darkness comes" line and such being pure in game fun, but there are intereactions like Mercy asking Reaper what happened and him more or less accusing her of knowing. That's a really interesting nugget and not at all amusing or a little quip. There's potentially a story there.

I guess I'm disappointed that it's likely nothing at all, which sorta diminishes interactions like that.
