But it's still a do-or-die situation for the whole AI. If they don't find the right resources and deal with the unrest and all the other problems they are facing the whole project goes belly-up and they all become refugees on other planets if they even make it that far.

The whole game should have started with everything going to plan and then slowly stumbling from one medium-sized problem to the next encountering the big bad roughly 60% through the game. That is something that DA2 did very well, it really is a heroes journey. You're dealing with small issues in the front while the big one is brewing below the surface until it explodes at the beginning of the third act. You can have your wacky-happy adventure for, almost, the whole game and get serious by the end. Not this rollercoaster ride of happy and less-happy situations with a very serious and dire backdrop. Every scene is clashing because you don't want to commit and focus either tone.

I was asking for help in the previous thread about how to recruit strike teams as the strike team menu wouldn't let me recruit any even though I had enough funds. Probably either full soldier loading up on heavy weapons and the various power cell based explosive powers or an Adept or Sentinel focused on power combos. Soldier is nice because you can load up on the biggest, baddest gear with impunity. An Adept with Pull, throw, Singularity will give you a lot more control, whereas a Sentinel with Throw, Incinerate, Energy Drain will give more raw power and speed of combos, as well as solid durability.

Did you guys know that if you click the Statistics option on the kill screen, the game actually gives you a list of your kills divided by faction and weapon used to kill them?

Apparently my team has killed ~2,400 enemies so far (mostly kett and exiles/raiders/roekarr) with ~1,500 killed by Ryder personally and ~900 by the rest.

Lets go over some human history in the Mass Effect universe. The humans eventually found a relay and managed to activate it simply due to curiosity.

So then they start colonizing little by little and are about to activate a relay when holy shit it's first contact, everyone put on your best suits a- Turians destroy them. Earth flips its shit and goes full Deus Vult and amasses a fleet. Turians spot another ship fucking around "Guess we'll keep cleaning up."

But oh shit now there's a godamn ARMADA there. "Wait wh-" Turians vaporized.

And now first contact war starts. The humans, a young species fighting off a race that's core culture is militarized, and is the combat arm of the Citadel Races fights and struggles to wipe human colonies out and end a threat to the galaxy.

Humans push back, HARD. Turians probably could have beaten them (just like England could have beaten America during the revolution except) but the Citadel said "Nah, shit's expensive and there's too many dead bodies, cut the losses."

So the galaxy sees, in awe and terror, this new baby faced species fight the Turians, the sword of the citadel, to a standstill at the worst. All on their own.

So diplomacy starts and Humans are brought to the Citadel. They begin learning and advancing at unheard of levels and eventually (pending your choice) completely take over the highest court of law in the galaxy in under 50 years of even showing up on the map.

Speed, mobility, and crowd control are the funnest things I'm any game and the rogue archetype usually has all three. Only ice and sometimes earth type mages match them in CC but they'll never have the speed nor mobility.

I'm calling it. The Jaraan were an AI race. It's how the lore comes full circle, making Leviathan even more limited-minded in retrospect.

Organics create machines. Machines destroy organics. Machines create organics. Organics destroy machines. Organics create machines. Rinse and repeat. Like an almost buddhistic balance.

Look at those remnant structures. No implication of culture, no households, no public places, nothnig. All the walls and floors are full of circuitry. More reminiscent of Geth architecture than organic. These are hardware megastructures for an AI race.
