No, refined isn't always the best infusion. Rouge got nerfed as well. Frost buildup is a lot faster now, vordt's hammer will often freeze people with one stunlock. Heavy armor got made lighter, and most heavy weapons are faster.

Monestary scimitar has an infinite combo, and Exile CGS is now a strength weapon capable of killing people in a single stunlock with 66 str and a resin/buff, but its honestly overrated as it has short reach and shit hyperarmor. Everything else about the update is pretty cool.

Champion and Pontiff are probably the best for me if you dont expend the whole fight parryfishing them. Lothric is nice but i wish it was harder, specially more stamina consuming like those other two. Nameless would be higher if I didnt have to waste time on the dragon everytime I had to fight him again.

haven't played this game since launch, just got the season pass and I'm gonna go through both DLCs, figure I would respec first though since it was my first char and I didn't really know what I was doing.

what is a basic "melee and no casting/pyromancy" build? Is stopping at 29 vigor still a thing? What should I keep my equip load under?

I'm surprised no one has brought up that BKGA and BKGA deal 20% more damage to demons. BKGA goes up to nearly 800 pure physical AR at 40/40 while Warcry is active, with another 20% slapped on to that the demons will be a cake walk.

Only bandit knife is good for pve and only for bleeding bosses. Stats dont matter since your damage comes from bleed build up with carthus rogue.
