I only bought the game because, I just wanted to have "fun". THe animations are bad yes, but that's with the defaults. The customs have some facial expressions. Not great but there's some. From what we saw was all based on the defaults, not the custom faces. Sure, the faces suffer a bit of the "bioware" face. But, so did the OT, and we looked passed it. While the writing for andromeda falls flat in some spaces. It's still decent to some degree.

You could either put in a double mod slot for a receiver as well, or you could skip it and put another kinetic coil in for more damage. I think an accuracy mod is completely unnecssary, since the burst fire means the spread is always pretty tight.

There was a discussion about this a few threads ago, about the Dragonspear trans character. I don't have the quote, but one of the anons wrote up a better way to handle that situation. If they'd have handled it like that, gave it the detail and patience it needed, you could have made an interesting story out of a character or companion that wanted to switch genders. The writer's issue was in just throwing it in, you say hello, and they info dump their most personal details out of nowhere. Whereas the anon that wrote up a better take's concern was with how such a character would fit into the Forgotten realms, and how they might actually interact with people.

If anyone saved that from the archive, it might be worth spreading around. Unless I read that in an ME thread on /v/ in which case it's going to be lost to time.

People die, mutiny, etc. In reality, no government would allow people on the journey who couldn't reproduce unless they brought something important to the table, i.e. they're a scientist or a doctor or something essential. And, no, they're not going to spend even more money on a project that cost billions probably trillions of credits to complete to clone people or enable gays to reproduce artificially. So it's actually realistic for Suvi and Gil to be gay, but it would be pretty unrealistic for the Initiative to allow gay foot soldiers or inter species relationships with the exception of asari to prevent ardat yakshi.

I heavily suspect Bioware Austin is working on a KOTOR game (no participation on Andromeda, last Inquisition DLC was end of 2015, diminishing returns on the Dragon Age series, green light for EA from Disney to make all Star Wars titles (for now)).

TLDR for a company like EA, acquiring an RPG dev or any dev really making intricate games was a mistake, the corporate culture surrounding EA is much more suited to milk sports titles, shooters, and casual titles - I mean ffs they aren't patient enough to develop any open world games period - look at the ruination of Pandemic.

So what's a good build to have based aroynd the Explorer profile? I love the Adept and Vanguard perks, but I love the Biotic Blink evade more so

When the game fails on fronts where the previous games succeeded the extant flaws stand out more. If Andromeda had blown everyone with the writing and/or gameplay people would've been more forgiving like they were with the previous titles. While I'd admit DA:I was better off for faces and . . . some animations (it had its fair share of wonky animations, the one chantry lady you recruit even does the fish lips lip syncing, be honest), it still had plenty of its own problems visually. There were games that time that looked much better.

DA:I's visual beauty is in its environments, and that's a perk ME:A shares actually. There visual problems with ME:A, but the level designers did beautiful work.

I found a lot of success with throw, concussion shot, and energy drain. I can drain a target, hit them with throw and that will take out shields, then hit them with concussion shot to detonate the throw. high single target damage and pretty much a guaranteed kill against anything that's not an obvious armor heavy. Or just use this fusion mod and never have to worry about cooldowns at all.

In practice I feel that the Remnant VI or Assault Turret are good picks for an explorer. It gives you an ability that can prime or detonate targets for you, but also draws some fire from your more vulnerable ass, and gives you some times to shoot since you won't be spamming three abilities.
