I really want to like this game way more, but the story is just so fucking depressing. The fact that all humans are already wiped out and the only thing left is robots and the Androids just kills all the fun for me. I love the combat and the music, but I don't think I can really get into this game or the series as a whole. I can deal with tragic stories to an extent, as I've enjoyed manga series like Berserk and Ichi the Killer, but something about Nier is different.

I mean if at least a handful of humans were around with the machines I'd be fine with that, but they're all fucking gone. JUST

Repost cuz came in at the end of last thread:

So the S units are really the ones in charge, doing recon, solving problems, etc. Whereas the B/E units are there as grunts for combat backup, and to kill their assigned S unit if they ever learn the truth about humanity. Is this correct?

And if so, does this mean 2B already knew the truth? If so, why is it fine for her to know and not 9S? Why wouldn't they also wipe her memory of the truth after the S unit is killed and wiped?

I mean, other than the revelation about humanity, it's a happy ending. Due to the pods not only backing up their personality data but also their current memories (which i don't totally get as i thought 2B was dead forever because of virus corruption; is the credits bullet hell sequence supposed to be the pod curing the virus or somethig), 9S, A2, and 2B are all still alive

I'm still a little confused about that. How were the pods able to salvage 2B? I thought the whole point was that she was permanently dead, data unrecoverable due to the logic virus?

Also if pods have the ability to back up yorha units, why weren't they doing it the whole time after the bunker blew up? Was it a new ability they developed when they became self-conscious? Because if so the game really didn't make that clear.

That is why they all eventually died, anon

Technically the only way for the replicants to survive into the future would've been.

1. The shadowlord succeeds in his plan, so he doesn't relapse causing all shades to quickly relapse
2. The replicants kill every gestalt within a matter of years to minimize the number of relapses.
3. They kill the shadowlord last.

It's impossible that this ever would've happened but it technically would've allowed the replicants to live as normal humans going forward, at least until the alien attack fucked them up anyway

The S units are just Scouts, they aren't in charge of anything. 9S is simply the latest model in their line and has very good specs. Scouts don't usually get partners, they work alone, 9S having too high specs and being too intelligent makes him a danger since he's very likely to stumble upon information that isn't supposed to become public, but on the other hand he's too valuable for the war effort so Command designated 2B as a killswitch to make sure that becomes a problem but still benefit greatly from his superior specs. 2B doesn't know about anything as far as we know, she is just doing her duty, fulfilling her purpose, by eliminating whatever Command tells her to.
Why don't they wipe 2B's memories together with 9S's whenever the killswitch triggers? Who the fuck knows. It's possible that a 9S at some point arranged for her memory backups to not work as normal, it's also possible the Commander knew about the Bunker destruction plan and wanted her most competent soldiers to form a bond past just being colleagues and intended for them to live on without YoRHa and the bunker in some fashion, it's left open to interpretation until we get some info on it

Like how did they just wake up one day, already aged to a certain degree, fully formed, and yet no memories of their lives during the chlorinationpocalypse. Replicants can't reproduce, and they cease reincarnating if their Gestalt is dead. Also, since Shadowlord was the only thing keeping most of the Gestalts stable, they're all gonna relapse and a mass breakout of Black Scrawl would occur.

From the very second the first Replicant gained sapience, the story was going to have a tragic end.
>>
>>172195660
I could be completely making this up, but I think that the replicants had routines that they went through or something and that informed their personalites.

It was pretty much the Android shadow council making sure all the military might they put in YoRHa's hands wouldn't blow up in their faces when something goes wrong or they become too self aware and try to instigate a coup.

The majority of that sequence felt forced as hell, but this part took the cake. There is no believable circumstance in which this actually happened in Automata's world. It makes no sense given the displayed behaviors of the machines.

That whole thing would have been better without the novel segment, and just include the high contrast images of Sartre and Beauvoir as she built herself up from Stubby to Sexbot.

Also, holy fucking shit Taro really ran the "repeat statement for emphasis and to show loss of sanity" technique six feet into the ground. It's not shocking or powerful if you're using over and over in your work, let alone multiple times in the same fucking novel segment.

I think that's the point. There was a gap in her knowledge of what she should do, and that was her desperate attempt to improvise.

But to be fair, the machines are modular, and wouldn't extra functionality be seen as 'desirable'? Her flawed logic is at least partially justified.

How many stories about cannibalism are there on the internet right now you think? There's bound to be a couple that draws connotations between cannibalism and being beautiful. The bits with Caim and Angelus are cool, the game is otherwise terrible, and it doesn't fit the tone of the rest of the franchise at all.

Finish the game. Read the weapon stories.

>>172199723
Knowing about the Shades is a big loss. Unlike Automata, they are very lowkey about the enemies' sapience until route B, and it's meant to be a powerful revelation.

It's more like Shadow of the Colossus, where there's just a vague feeling that you're doing something wrong until the rug gets pulled out from under you at the end.

Still, it's a very fun game with charming characters. I think it's worth playing regardless.

how the fuck
All of its attacks 1-shot me on Hard and half of them don't seem avoidable without perfect dodging, which is hard when they seem to have like 0.5s between its telegraph and it hitting.

Am I missing something obvious here?
>>

flank it and blow its arm covers off. when you blow off one of its arm coverings it gets stunned for like 30 seconds. Pummel it for a bit, then break another one to chain stun it.
>>
>>172200468
Perfect dodging is so easy that it's harder to perform a dodge that the game doesn't interpret as a perfect dodge. You can cancel dodges into dodges by mashing the dodge button.

Like the other guy said, circle to its side and only attack after it performs a frontal attack or an ass blast.

I feel you on that one but if you use an understanding of the phases it predictably goes through then you'll know that, after a brief lull, it's about to start tailspiking you and you can just start mashing dodge in anticipation. You don't need to actually react (which is the damnable shame of the dodging system they used in this game).

Earth's axis was knocked over somehow and we get a perpetual "midnight sun" thing in the area the games take place it.
There's some interview in Grimoire Nier, I had to hunt it down once to confirm.

The Earth still rotates, but the sun never fully sets.

>Care Bears
>You are like a baby
Is Berserk and Ichi the Killer "Care Bear" or "Baby" to you anons? Like I said, I can deal with tragic stories but Nier is just gets to me for some reason. I don't like that there's not even at least a handful of humans left. You're literally playing around in a barren land full of civilization that mankind left entirely behind, a literal ghost planet.

If you're telling me that N:A isn't even the most depressing of Taro's games, then I think I'll just stick to this game. It's not even like I've even been a fan of his work, or even knew who Taro was before this game. I'm really only here because of Platinum games. The combat is really smooth, and goes well with the music.

If it wasn't for that, I wouldn't have anything to do with this series. Taro seems like a rather sadistic/masochistic individual.

>>172194427
I already know about Ending E, doesn't change the fact that all of humanity is long gone.

>>172194962
It's not that the characters aren't human, it's the fact that humans once existed but went completely extinct, and you're playing the game on the barren planet they used to live on, seeing the civilization they left behind. Empty shadows of what once was.

If humans didn't exist at all and it was entirely robot and androids from the start then that'd be completely different.

Maybe you just don't like the tone then.

The entire franchise is basically Sic Transit Gloria, continued attempts to recapture a past that has already been ruined, an unending cycle of failure and lost knowledge.

Well, that and the world shitting on everybody who tries to break the cycle by giving them a deck of shitty cards that cannot and will not ever provide an unambiguously good hand no matter how many times you draw from it.

This is a very important theme, especially in Automata, but also in the original NieR as well.

>>172203167
Yes all things come to an end, including civilizations, but having literally ALL of humanity extinct from the start is pretty extreme, even if that's also an inevitable possibility. It's not like I don't think the game is still really good, it's just that I personally can't enjoy this game as much as I would if at least a FEW people still existed. Just 2 or 3 and I'd be fine.

I'm a man of moderation. I don't like a story that's overly happy, but I also don't like a story that's overly depressing.

>>172203370
It doesn't even have to be an unambiguously good hand, it just has to not be crippling depression. A bittersweet world that gives as much as it takes is even fine for me, but from what I've come to understand Taro's stories are pretty much geared to absolutely destroy all hope; complete cynicism.

I can respect it in principle, but in practice those types of worlds and stories always leave a bad taste in my mouth.

>>172202754
Taro writes depressing and bittersweet stories that leave you feeling a little hollow. That's the entire appeal. Having a handful of humans left would add too much hope to the mix and would negate most of the themes present.

This isn't Fallout, where all the apocalypse really did was turn humanity into a widespread cargo cult that otherwise just goes about it's business. The apocalypse in NieR was an apocalypse. The Legions pushed humanity to the brink, they used desperate measures to save themselves, but then those desperate measures went wrong and the entire thing became a series of shitty choices for everyone involved that nobody could really walk away from, to the point where the -good- ending was the one that lead to Humanity's demise.

Taro isn't sadistic. He just makes things for people who like to be sad now and again.
>>
>>172203740
Yeah, definitely not for you then.

That's alright. Taro's work is very much a love it or hate it affair.

I disagree that it's overly depressing. What does it matter if humanity is extinct? That's a serious question and not rhetorical.

The humans of the year 11000 are about as relevant to you as the androids.

If we're going to take the world of Nier as a well-written narrative, there is the possibility that Gestalt wasn't the only attempt taken. Just one of the more elaborate and well-documented.

Otherwise it's sillybuggers. Because Gestalt is dumb. "The entire planet is a biohazard. What should we do?" "Make everyone ghosts!"

I'm not getting any sort of bittersweet from what I'm coming to understand of Taro's works, especially if you're telling me that humanity being wiped out is somehow considered the good ending. This is depression fuel, works that are made solely for the purpose of JUSTing your entire being. Yes humanity bounces back in Fallout, but at what cost? It's not like it's sunshine and daises either, millions of people died, and things will never truly be the same, however humanity continued to go on, there's still a future despite the heavy costs.

I personally like stories where even if things go terribly bad, it doesn't leave you with a sense of utter despair. Bittersweet is what I'd say Fallout is, the works Taro does is pure sadness. Some people can enjoy that, and my respect to those people. I'm not one such person. It seems to me Taro would be more of a Masochist then to an extent, as I also hinted to here >>172202754

If the game didn't have you playing on the planet that humans used to live on, seeing everything they left behind, then humanity being extinct wouldn't really be an issue, however Nier:A wouldn't be the game it is as well. It's the fact you're being engulfed by the echoes of life humans left behind is what makes it depressing.

Hell, I get a bit sad whenever I see ghost towns or shopping plazas that used to be active decades ago. There's a certain loneliness to places that used to be lively but died down. Nier takes that feeling and amps it up to 1000.

To be fair, something that another anon mentioned last thread is important. Gestalt wasn't about preserving humanity, it was about saving the lives of everyone who was in danger RIGHT THEN, and it was ostensibly a perfect idea on paper, that only went all fucked when the war dragged on for over a thousand years and the Replicants developed personality of their own, rejecting the Gestalts and literally stranding them outside of their own bodies.

If there were other attempts, and there probably were, it can be assumed that they failed, likely because any form of automated repopulation wasn't developed and was sidelined in favour of ensuring that the Legions didn't fucking kill everything, and anything that requires manual activation would only be useable by an actual human, and since they were all split into empty combat shell and soul in a storage box, couldn't be utilised.

It's not unreasonable to assume that every alternative failed, given the timeframe this all took place in. The Giant and The Dragon arrived in Tokyo like 10 years ago, and the war against the Legion lasted a thousand years even after all the remaining humans turned themselves into perpetually respawning soldiers.
>>
>>172204683
No, replicants were the bodies that the gestalts were to eventually be put into. They were simply containers that gained sentience, the actual humans were the gestalts.

>>172204683
That's all well and good but I sort of think you're being a little bitch about all this. Can't handle darker themes, so you restrict yourself from delving into some interesting narrative elements and call those themes 'depression fuel'.

>It's the fact you're being engulfed by the echoes of life humans left behind is what makes it depressing.

Mostly. It's also about the legacy of humanity attempting to pick up the torch, which is the crucial element of hope that stops the entire thing from just being a soul grinder. You can't have pure despair unless there is also hope. Just like you can't have true sadness without a little bit of happiness, and vice versa. Contrast is a basic tenet of emotional storytelling. The emotion you focus on has to be backed up by it's own opposite, and you simply tilt the balance based on the tone you're trying to capture.
>>
Why keep the truth a secret? Why not have the androids and robits work together to build a new society since there's literally nothing else to fight.
>>
>>172205084
Because the maso got into the atmosphere, and that shit targets the soul, not the body. They had to the wait until the Replicants cleared the Legion up.

Well, the Replicants were basically empty shells at the start, but things didn't go according to plan and they attained their own self-awareness. But by that point it was too late, and Shades didn't have much of a chance possessing anything but a Replicant pre-coded for each individual Gestalt.

I guess the only one who "successfully" possessed some random person that wasn't intended for him was Tyrann, and that entailed everyone involved going kind of insane.

For the sake of the discussion then I'll stop putting so much emphasize on the human aspect then, as it honestly doesn't really address my main point. The peoples who lived on the planet and built the Androids are all wiped out, and have been for quite a long while. You aren't just told these peoples don't exist anymore, you spend the entire game playing through the entire cities, landscapes, and world that these peoples all lived and prospered in. Their entire legacy is more or less ended, with no trace besides their own structures.

These Androids and Machines aren't the peoples who no longer exist, they're more or less tools who've been given a purpose. The masters of the world are all dead, and you spend the entire game playing through a ghost world. It's an incredibly strong sense of emptiness and that's what makes it so depressing, that not a single one of these peoples exists anymore.

>>172205234
I thought it was obvious I was speaking as a newcomer to the series with N:A being my first game?

>>172205448
I think my reaction to this games story is entirely reasonable. The entire planet full of people who built these Androids are all long dead, and failed spectacularly at whatever it is they wished to do to survive. The only thing they left behind were their structures and the Androids, who are clearly very different from the ones who created them. What torch is there for humanity to pick up? Everything is already over. These Androids aren't close to being the same as their creators, nor will they ever be able to carry on where their creators left off.

There's absolutely no hope, it may as well be cockroaches colonizing the planet.

From the start of the game you're led to believe that humans are in fact still alive and well, chilling out on the planet while hoping the Androids clean house on Earth. The human-centric viewpoint was pretty much the driving point of the game, was it not? Taro GAVE me that human-centric viewpoint and then said "fuck you lol". It's not like you're told humans are all dead from the start, no. It's the realization that all humans were long dead that makes everything so sad. It was all one giant lie. You were given something, and then had it all violently taken away, and then the realization of the reality of the ghost world you've been traversing in comes crashing down. Is it truly a failure on my part? Nay, I'd say Taro's entire goal was to absolutely crush me from the start, which seems to be a theme in the rest of his games.

My respect to those of you who are into that, but I need just a bit of sweetness to blend with the bitterness.

I thought that one was okay, but in general the text segments didn't work nearly as well in this game.

Part of the reason they worked so well in Nier was because they were unexpected and important. Kaine earned the right to have a lengthy mandatory novel section in the middle of the game, and the forest's use of text adventures worked as yet another genre mixup.

In Automata, it just felt like

I can't remember exactly when but it was before I got A ending I had started to think "I haven't seen any recent trace of humans so far, nor any direct correspondence. Are they even still alive?"
Not that I mind though, it didn't kill the game for me
>>
>>172206816
If you had played the other games you would already know that the humans were gone. You would also know about the things that other characters are exploring to fix that. You're complaining about a story you decided to read the end of and just repeating the same shit over and over.

No one is going to agree with you that the story is too depressing: what are you gaining by repeating it over and over except attention? What do you expect us to say that we haven't already said?

I liked that Automata used its text adventures to expand on characters a bit, rather than leaving it all to novellas that won't even be published in the U.S. And I really felt for Devola and Popola's backstory.

But I don't think the text adventures had quite the charm or novelty that the first Nier had either. I really loved the prose and music in the Forest of Myth. It had a knack for going from being genuinely comedic in one dream, to genuinely tragic and unsettling in another.

They haven't succeeded at shit. They tentatively wiped out the species homo sapiens, yet the legacy of the human race continues. And there will come a day when vengeance is dealt and the still-beating heart of a would-be god is cast into the event horizon of a black hole.

What I am basically getting from this is that the game made you feel an intense depth of emotion. It might not have been an emotion you wanted to feel, but it was there, and so the game has succeeded in what it set out to do. Personally, I thought the character interplay between the three protagonists had enough hope in it to create the contrast I was looking for, and Ending E is the definition of bittersweet, and probably one of the more optimistic endings we have seen from Taro.

That aside, Taro gave you the viewpoint? Are you kidding? Didn't you see something wrong with the bizarre human worship that the androids had going on right from the outset? Didn't you find the garbled human speech in the first mission at all odd? If you genuinely didn't see anything strange that made you doubt that you were being given the full picture, then bravo, you're the densest person in the thread.

My only disappointment is that there isn't much of a payoff to Anemone's side of the story after getting to see all of her text logs.

We get her backstory and how her survivor's guilt has affected her with some of the most fleshed out text adventures in the game, but she doesn't really get to make an impact on things in the end.

It is above Nanomachines ya baka.
Clearly, these machines had free will and were making choices but N2 always had the ability to just override their choices.

N2 was literally the God in the Machines that nobody knew existed until it decides to intervene.

Does it's existence invalidate every choice Machines that believed they were cut off from the network made? Did allowing Machines to believe themselves cut from the Network create the only situation in which N2 could actually run tests?

It's the fucking reflection of the question that if God exists, does our own individual free will matter in any given situation?

I didn't find Anemone's backstory dump very effective, and Beauvoir's wasn't very well written outside of some choice lines.

The Ending D story was really good, D&P was mostly good, and I don't really remember how I felt about Adam's other than ****'ing Toobs.

There were way too many datalogs, too, and they bungled those by mixing up those two logs at the end that are the same except one has an additional line.

Depression is not an emotion I tend to seek out in stories if I can help it, but that's just me. I can only see this game as being bittersweet if you aren't like me and didn't completely fall for the humans on the moon plot. I sincerely thought there were survivors and that the androids would meet their creators and the builders of those cities they ran through. You're telling me this is the nicer ending Taro's done.

I totally didn't see it coming man, I just though it was waifu squad and some human guy who saw them as tools and nothing more or something. Hell, having the Androids kill the humans would actually be more satisfying to me for some strange reason. It would confirm humanity really did survive and didn't get wiped out, until they pissed off the Androids at least.

But yeah, I guess I'm dense. I choose to believe however that Taro purposefully wanted me to feel and view the story exactly the way I am. That bastard.

There's some archive data on how the network absorbed info on Project Gestalt, which included the data on the First Gestalt i.e. Nier.

I don't know if it ties into N2's personality in any specific way, or if it's just tragic irony that Nier became part of the genetic baseline of the next big threat that wanted to wipe out humanity.

Casshern killed Luna because he was ordered to.
Luna experiencing death caused a toxin to be released that fucked up the entire world, because Luna herself was some insane bio-machine that could allow for both Machines and Humans to regenerate forever and dying for the first time basically caused her to go out of control and poison the world.
Eventually both her and Casshern come to their senses centuries after the event, both having eternal bodies.
The theme of the story was living and how Casshern struggled to live due to his immortality and the fact that his reason to exist was bring death, while Luna was consumed by the fear of death and dying again, so she either wanted to make anyone she could immortal or just have them destroyed.

Casshern eventually finds meaning in life through accepting death, while Luna ends up existing in perpetual fear of Casshern returning to kill her, leading an empty existence of just granting people immortality in which people and machines slowly lose the meaning of living without the fear of death

tl;dr
SHIT DIES, THAT'S WHERE YOU GET THE MEANING IN YOUR LIFE BECAUSE YOU'RE NOT GONNA LIVE FOREVER

I mean, it's a bit disingenuous to imply I'm somehow the daft asshole "complaining" about some obscure series story that most people playing the game now NEVER fucking heard of. Let's be honest here, the only reason the game is being noticed is because Platinum games is doing the combat, and were responsible for HUGE hits like Metal Gear Rising, Bayonetta, with the Devil May Cry recognition behind it as well.

I've been responding to different people with different points, I not "repeating myself" the way you're implying. Also it's "objectively better" only if you weren't privy to whatever knowledge you already carried with you about the previous games, and are rooting for the Android solely. Not having played previous games I understandably bought into the whole humans on the moon thing, and was understandably saddened to learn that was all bullshit and the you're just on an empty ghostworld. I don't know what you know, nor could you honestly expect me to. This is an obscure series that only the diehard fans of Taro know about, not something mainstream. But here's where I think you're a moron. The humans on the moon twist. Most people would notice it and would either see it from a narrative perspective and judge in on that merit, be apathetic to the whole ordeal, or go 'huh, neat twist' and be a little surprised or sad about it. The emotions involved would be relatively mild compared to some of the other parts of the game. They wouldn't actually find that to be one of the most depressing facets by itself, like you're swanning on about. They wouldn't think to themselves 'Oh no, humanity is gone from this setting, I have been lied to, THIS IS TERRIBLE MY SOUL IS DYING I HATE THIS GAME'.

Yes, the fact that the world is a giant grave that actively encourages feelings of mild isolation and evokes a sense of loss is a little bit depressing, but you're not supposed to hook yourself so vigorously onto that aspect, which is why I keep saying that you're looking at it from a far too human-centric view.

I'm not getting mad at you for not getting it, I'm getting mad at you for refusing to shift your perspective a little bit, just for a little while, so that you could enjoy the game more, and then complaining at the game for not catering to you when you are not the intended audience. I really don't care that this is your first Taro game, that's completely besides the point.

To answer the question, the Androids were built by humans, who were later seperated into Replicants and Gestalts. The Gestalts then died or relapsed into monsters, and the Replicants died because they could no longer reincarnate without a matching Gestalt. Devolo and Popola were the only androids we know of to be around during Project Gestalt (Also Accord I guess but she's a special case.)

Most of that information is actually available in Automata, by the way.

It's because you want to feel what you did when you first experienced the game. And to achieve something similar you try to live it vicariously through streamers.

Sadly most streamers are your average normal, socially acceptable westerner and will not understand many of the games themes and it's storytelling as well as you did. You'll never have that first playthrough again.

Just take solace in the face that you did have a good play of the game and those memories are so strong that you miss it.

I'm pretty sure that
1. There were some saves prepared by the developers for the first people playing

Otherwise ending E would be nearly impossible eventually, I think it's more of a narrative thing and the game can't actually run out of others' data.

If that was the case We would have ran out of saved already.
Think about it if everybody gets hit at least twice and then sacrifices then the amounts of global help shrink a with every player.

And we can project that most people do get hit and dont sacrifice.

That system would be unsustainable.

I believe its either your save helps several people, not one, or it doesnt disappeared on getting hit or most likely both.

The other way around is mathematicly impossible

I started the fight off using Virtuous Contract and YoRHa-issue blade both at level 3 and it was going rather slowly but when I swapped to the spear Virtuous Dignity which I had at level 3 and Virtuous Treaty at level 2 my damage seemed to sky rocket and the spear consistently knocked him back out of most of his attack animations so I was free to just continously attack him.

I then went on to some mobs and the spear combined with a large sword in the heavy slot has some great radial AOE attack

What we know for a fact is that Androids created the backdoor, that it was in with the Bunker's creation, and that it's expressed purpose was to "replace" YoRHa's staff should the need arise.
Not too many reasons the Androids would have to get rid off all of YoRHa, the Shadow Council behind the Bunker's creation obviously also knew that at their base YoRHa used machine cores for their soldiers so it just makes sense that it was there as assurance

An absolutely despicable game that refuses you to have fun but somehow wouldn't have gathered half as interest if it was ever slightly interesting to play. Still Taro's worst game by a mile, though.
>>
>>172220016
An absolute nightmare to play, but it's still the craziest game in the franchise. I recommend you play it for how unique and unforgettable it is, but I wouldn't blame you if you end up watching an LP or something.

Thanks I got it working now.

I tried to play it once before when Drakengard 3 came out because that game looked crazy, but then I started playing 1 and it was like dollar store Dynasty Warriors. I only played it for maybe a minute. Now that I know what to expect from Taro-san I'm pretty excited.

I emailed NA SE about why the soundtrack for Automata isn't available on the store, but it is in Europe. They pretty much told me they have no plans offering it for sale in North America, and that all regions are different, etc etc. Meanwhile, I found out they have a physical copy for PC, with the T-Shirt(!), on the EU shop. Fortunately, they ship internationally, but fuck me if the NA branch for Square Enix doesn't blow a big one.

If you want the soundtrack, check how the exchange rate is for the Euro. For me, it's cheaper to grab the pre-order on Amazon Japan and get the flatrate 895 yen shipping, with 2-7 days delivery time.

He couldn't take away the power of unity, which ended up destroying him, or at least an alphabetical representation of him.
>>
>>172221367
CDJapan is good too or amiami. Cheaper on the former but shipping on the latter might be cheaper.

Also, does that mean you won't get THIS CANNOT CONTINUE but will get KONO MAMA JA DAME instead?

CD's from AmiAmi seem to be about 1500 yen to ship, same with CDJapan, unfortunately. Amazon JP came out to about 4100 yen for the pre-order, so I'm happy with that cost. I just wish they'd offer it on the NA Store, it's baffling that they won't.

>was doing Route C
>gets ending D
wut

so how do you get ending C fight as A2 or Choose to stay???
>>
>>172223552
fight as A2

there's not really a route C or route D, it's route C/D as which ending you get is the choice

And when you pick whichever choice you didn't pick the first time, you'll get E
>>
>>172223552
Good. now that you got D out of the way,
A/B->C->E is a smoother transition.
>>
>>172223660
E follows from D though. 9S doesn't die in ending C, so the final phase wouldn't start yet.
