Righteous Fire meets all but the first since you can't fucking use it until you fucking reach maps. There's a fucking top block Duelist but it uses expensive uniques such as Bringer of Rain, Soul Taker/Varunastra, and The Surrender.

The council is the worst one though.

Guardians can be profitable in hardcore. Make an armor build, spamm minotaur sell the brass dome for like 500c if it drops. One brass dome already covers the cost of 40x minotaur lair maps.

On a good day you can run Izaro in 3-4 minutes on average. , still doing him 100 times is mind boggling long and boring. Atziri same stuff but getting the sets is a struggle. Breachlords are also pretty fast.

Rigwald is also annoying if you are not doing it in a group. His ''kill 7 specific uniques'' is also super annoying.

What are the go-to "first character" leveling builds that aren't traps or flameblast/bond totems?

I've leveled 2 characters with firestorm now because it's the only way i've found to level without damage nodes and it made me want to kill myself after the first hour.

Specifically i'm wondering what melee/bow gems are good without leveling uniques. I don't think i'm ever going to play another spell build again unless it's meta and starts before level 20.

I was using Callinellus 1c until tier 7(because testing) then perseverance 2c, then took varunastra(25c)Aegis(40c)(Had to take Empire grasp for lion's throw Perse for res capping), like 2 days of farming for Red Nightmare(320c) for more life and today i picked The Gull(10c) because fun and gonna switch HoA for Grace when my enlightmen is ready and buy Foil Aegis just to spite more.

I don't know how 2h frostblades wouldn't work. Get the sword nodes and a high AS sword like doomsower ( there are a couple of 460+ dps ones on poe.trade).

As for 2h frostblades it works fine, just get hrimsorrow and stay on left side of tree (build it like standard slayer I guess).

This means that exalts never lose their value and 30+ exalt items go up the longer a league goes on because more are dropping, this causes a chaos orb inflation. Early on exalts are only worth 20-30 chaos.
