Did anyone managed to close Sirris storyline in a blind playthrough?

Why the hell would anyone go back in that bridge that has absolutely nothing to farm, no items, no mobs? Specially when you consider that there are THREE bonfires in that area with nothing between them (Wolnir/Irythill/Central Irythill).

I'm talking about Sirris here, but that can be said for most NPCs questlines, specially the secondary ones.

Is refined still the best infusion for straight/ curved swords? I suck at making/ committing to builds outside the normal DEX/STR.

I didn't finish any NPC quest on my first playthrough. Met onionbro at the Undead Settlement, then never saw him again. I saw sirris twice at the Shrine but never found the summon marks. For Anri I didn't know we had to kill the assassin who's a fucking statue. And for the whole hollow quest, how are you supposed to know that you have to die to gain more than one free level and become bacon ?

Is Sister Friede meant to just be "hope you brought a good shield lol"? Her attacks are all 360 and don't do much on block.

Has anyone tested the Lothric War Banner buff online to see if it's useless? The buff itself lasts long enough for a dual and since it's 15% regardless of damage type it'd be pretty good on split damage weapons.

So i tried some of the weapons from the DLC against people in the arena, here the thoughts -

Meh. it's cool, i admit, but it's basicaly a kat with worse L2 R1 and i guess a better L2 R2 in a way?
Cool for Vergil cosplay i guess.

it's alright. Stance is good, but wished it worked like the edgy scythes stance. Still, a good weapon overall. stanced R1 is good roll catcher and have good hyper armor, and people keep panicking rolling

it's a halberd with a meh weapon art as far as i feel it. it's looks cool as shit but not really useful. maybe i'm using it wrong.

greatswords are really, really good right now, and this WA is really good actually, far better than the poor Artorias sword (which the DS2 version is still the greatest)

this fucking weapon i swear to god. this is how the farron greatsword SHOULD have worked.
Insane damage, over 600 AR. first L1 is useful for closing distance and roll catching, allow you to go more aggresive. as far as i know, and i tested it with a friend - CANNOT be parried. i repeat, CANNOT be parried. if the two swords hits, you can combo it into second L1 for easy almost 1000 damage.
R1 for baiting rolls, into L1 L1 and again, almost 1000 damage.
and for god sake the weapon art is fucking amazing. L2 R2 is ok, but L2 R1 is fucking amazing. also, L2 does a flame surge that hit shit from a little range, so it's can cock block some dexfags

overall, good DLC weapons. Still wished for Santier spear/puzzling stone sword/Bone fist, but guess only DaS2 have the cool stuff.

Well, I think that comes naturally, The Hollow questline was quite forgiving compared to the other ones. Siegward was kinda tricky late game, Sirris was absolutely horrible, it was great ruining her quest because I simply gave a pale tongue to Rosaria, missing out on the entire Darkmoon Covenant. Didnt played regular Anri quest yet. Yellowfinger Heysel is an ass, just for a fucking gesture.

who else here /oneweapononly/? I found the Executioner's blade and fell in love. Its looks, its move set. The fact that it restores a good chunk of my FP back on my support miracle based guy is amazing as well.

Blessed shield, blessed weapon buff my blade, Princess Ring, the + FP per kill from my blade, and +HP per kill from Evil eye ring makes for a really hard to kill motherfucker.

Evil eye ring swapped for something else for a boss fight obviously. If given the time, I also can give myself bountiful light and regen almost 10 HP per second.

Most BB enemies tend to have at least one "no startup, just guess motherfucker" attack which makes you quite twitchy when it comes to dodges (fortunately most of them do minimal damage), and while DaS3 is overall way faster, most attacks still have huge tells and startup on most of it's moves. So yes, it is quite slower.

And you can get to DLC2 by beating DLC1, which works just fine - you can get to it before you even beat a single Lord of Cinder, if you're good enough to kill Friede.

In the cutscene between NK's phases, you can visibly see him trembling before he kills his dragon. It makes me think he had some level of compassion beyond just wanting to fight.

For the most part, yeah.

>Lightning Arrow
The miracle that clerics really needed. It's fast, deals decent damage, and shoots fast. It's basically a bow that has to be attuned. It also benefits from Unfaltering Prayer, which is nice. It's too bad you have to go through so much in order to get this miracle. It'd be a nice tool for earlygame clerics to have.

>Projected Heal
Good heal for co-op, whether in the main game or in 2v2/3v3. It goes a long distance so you don't need to hug your host like you would have to with Great Heal, and it doesn't require a ton of faith like Soothing Sunlight. You have to manually aim it, though, which take some getting used to.

>Seething Chaos
It's basically Lingering Flame from DS2 except you toss it first. It does a ton of damage. I can see it being more useful in random invasions than in duels, but I'm not a skilled pyromancer.

Consider it the Crystal Soul Spear of hexes, except it only costs 30 FP, making it cheaper than a Soul Spear while also capable of dealing over 550-1100 damage depending on several factors like your catalyst, INT/FAI level, etc. The spell works just like the other "dregs", in which it travels slowly at first, then continuously builds up speed as it moves along.

A straight upgrade to Soul Greatsword. It works similarly to the Dark Blade (I forget the name) hex from DS2: You slice with a spectral greatsword and then shoot a beam simultaneously. You can charge the spell for a bit and increase the damage + range as well. It deals about 450-ish damage uncharged and about 800-1000 fully charged. I believe you can hit with both the beam and the greatsword, too, but it's kinda hard to pull off.

All in all, I really like the spells TRC introduces. I would have preferred more, but this is a nice selection.

Not really. It does its job perfectly. It's supposed to be a fast, spammable miracle. At 60 FAI with Yorshka's Chime, I dealt about 270-450 to many different enemies as I went through the game. I'd say that's pretty good for a miracle as fast as Lightning Arrow.

BW is inferior to the replenishment miracle unless you're certain it'll do something like turn a three-hit kill into a two-hit kill.

Replenishment can heal you for up to 300 more HP, while BW heals 45 HP and adds 7.5% physical. So if we get all the health we can from both these miracles and assume one more point of damage in a fight is as valuable as one more point of health, BW needs to give you 255 more damage. To get 255 out of a 7.5% bonus, you need to already have dealt 3400 damage, which is impossible since noone has that much health.

Even if we assume you're at full HP and not healing for the first 30 seconds of each buff, that's 150 HP from replenishment, vs 15 HP from BW, meaning you need to deal 135 more damage than normal to make up the difference. You need to deal 1800 damage in order for 7.5% of that damage to give you an additional 135.

And this is all ignoring the fact that you can just cast replenishment then slap on a resin for at least most the damage you get from blessed weapon. And if you've got a shield it pales in comparison to the absurdity of magic shield, which can easily be cast alongside replenishment via crystal chime, and can't be cast alongside BW ever due to the fact that you need to switch your left hand to a chime to cast BW, unlike resin which can be cast with the shield in hand. There's no reason to use it unless you're stacking it with replenishment and already have high physical AR.
