I'm new to this kind of game, and I struggle to find a good strategy.

currently, I jump in a zone with loot, grab as much as I can, take a car and go in the middle of the zone, waiting for other to come. It get me in top 10 a lot of time, but I barely see action. Any tip?

this game seriously fucking sucks im not even baiting for (You)s. Here is why i hate the game.

Terrible optimization, there's no hit detection so you have no idea where you are being shot from, you die instantly, combat favors the defender over the attacker 10 times out of 10. Shotgun is strong as fuck but the movement speed of the game is so low so you can't shotgun rush people but shotgun camping a building is insane. The ADS is clunky and slow as fuck again favoring the defender. There's suppressors and snipers you can just find lying around and with no hit detection and player models in general being extremely dark combined with dark houses, and dark trees. You can die without any counterplay at all. It's too easy to shoot someone out of a car because you can't hop out immediately when you see someone because the game makes you kill yourself if you hop out when the car is moving.

Yes i do come from h1z1, yes h1 is fucking garbage. But just because h1 is complete shit shouldnt give this kusoge a free pass.

What i do is loot, maybe get a kill, then either die running in the fields or look for people with a car and never find anyone.

They either need to split the one plane drop off into 3-4, all going different directions, or they need to reduce the map size for solo play. So many retards jump off at the very first loot zone so, if you're actually intelligent and drop off later, you do nothing for the next 10-15 minutes because 30-60 people dropped off in a small ass little area.

I dont find camping to be that big of a problem though. Personally I think 3rd person is a far more glaring problem, as you can spot enemies without exposing yourself to harm. Hardcore first person mode only when.

I guess while we're on the topic of attachments, I'll explain what they do.

Compensators reduce recoil.
Bullet loops give increased draw speed and reload speed.
Cheek pads increase stability, or decrease scope movement in other words.
Stocks increase stability.
Angled foregrip increases ADS speed and draw time, but reduces stability.
Vertical grip gives increased stability.

TL;DR- Angled foregrip for full-auto house clearing and vertical grip for medium-long range shots.

all summit really does is land in a place where no one will land, find a car, drive to a places that will has some loot 10-15 mins of the game while people are killing themselves, and positions around the edge of the circle and gets no kills until the last 20~ people seems boring.

I really want to like this game but, honestly, it's just boring. If you jump out with the first 50 people you either get a gun and live or you don't and die. If you actually try to win then you jump out by yourself, loot for 5ish minutes, then run to the circle and see no one for 10-20 minutes until it's third, fourth, or fifth circle and there's only 15-25 people left.

That's some I'd love to see as well but you have to remember that it's annoying as fuck to to get a gun and keep finding mismatch ammo to it all the time. There's a blance to find and keep somewhere in it. Less of a problem in squad/duo games where you can trade stuff between teammates but more of a pain in the ass in solo... or just add scavenger mode where you just use anything you can find and ammo is scarce.

For the plane i usually wait until most people ejected and jump out very late. Mid-Late depends where the circle is. Is closing around a city? Just Rambo in and find a good building to hold out preferably some building that allows spotting in all directions. Always take it slow if it's out on the open with little to no cover.

Hugging the outer part of the circle is the best as long as your RNG isn't too shit when it changes. It allows you to have a clear back.

Knowing what spots have the most dense amount of loot and higher tier items without many people is the best advice i can give you. Landing in super popular areas is usually a waste of time since you have tons of people in all directions, and if you can't find a gun quickly you're dead.

i also find myself spending too much time looting in mid-game sometimes and getting jumped

i definitely agree that edging the white circle and cutting it close with the blue wall at your back is the best tactic to approach new territory, but RNG fucks you over sometimes and the new circle is on the opposite side, then you'll end up running into a lot of ambushes trying to reach the next safe zone

Ambushing people who has already looted is also a valid strategy as long as you have a basic gun. You can save a lot of time if you do that, but it does require some careful stalking.

Walking crouched doesn't make a lot of sound, so you can sometimes get the drop on people that way, but running up and blasting people while there's a gunfight masking your sound works best in my experience.

Going towards the sound of gunshots is probably the easiest way to instantly get tons of supplies. 95% of times you usually find a dude looting someone in the open.

If you're looking for a boring game, sure. You'll probably get what you need along with a car, and when some time has elapsed you can move in and start heading towards the center. If you do this though you'll spend the first 75% of the game wandering from house to house with only a tiny chance of seeing anybody else. If you don't mind being a ninja with 1 kill at the end then go for it.

There are no microtransactions yet, unless you want to buy clothes off the scalpers in the Steam market. Devs have said that when they are added it'll be for clothes and other cosmetic shit. I've got a sinking feeling they'll end up making the ghillie suit a drop from crates though to encourage mass purchases, but as of right now there's nothing like that.

You've got two hours to play and find out, and even if you go over that you can just refund if/when it fully launches. 2 hours is more than enough time to run 3 or 4 rounds and get an idea of whether you like the game or not, so nut up and do it you bitch pussy.

game is meh, I'll come back to it when they add a no third person game mode, because corner peaking with it is cancer, and trying to aim in close quarter situations with it is cancer.

It only takes 2-4 shots to take someone down with a rifle.

If you're worried about speed aim for the head, otherwise you can generally shoot as fast as you can pull the trigger.

You're not going to be able to control recoil at over 100 meters.

Are you sure he didn't headshot you? I do know myself that from about 50 meters the M16 takes about 4 shots to kill unarmored guys. Your helmet might have saved you there. Most rifles kill in 3-6 shots, bolt actions in ~2 depending on armor. No clue on SMGs but they're monsters up close.

If you ADS the guns are basically laser accurate with high recoil. If you hip-fire or do the "shouldered-aiming" thing there's a reticle that grows as you fire.

The game is fun but it is not tactical in any way. There is more tension and tactical maneuvering in Tarkovs very first raid than in this whole game.

A lot more than when I'm crouch-walking. If there's foliage there's going to be a lot more rustling and if you're on a hardwood floor there's thumps depending on how fast you go, whereas you can be completely silent while crouch-walking.

I actually made it to 4th this match. I quickly looted a nearby building and got a rifle, and level 2 helmet, and on the drive down I got a sniper kar. Then I spaghettied everywhere in the final moments, landed 2 shots on someone, and missed the next 3 then died.


On a side note, Never try to ram someone off the road. It launched me 50 feet in the air. Thankfully I didnt die.

Hope they change the huge puff of blood when you shoot someone. It should be more subtle, maybe dust and then some bleeding. The game so far has a great balance between realism and arcade but the blood is just straight out of Quake or H1Z1 or something.
