If anything, it belongs in semi-limited just because its the Solemn card with the smallest cost of them all, not because of the things it negates.

Comparing Strike to the other Solemn cards really makes Strike seem to be the weakest.

-Judgement it negates EVERYTHING at the cost of halving your LP
-Warning negates EVERYTHING that involves summoning for just 2k LP
-Scolding can negate more things than strike, but it has more restrictions like being the only set card
-Strike negates ANY monster effect and special summoning, however, it only negates inherent special summons so fusion and rituals don't give any bloody fuck about Solemn Strike. Unless they're ABC because contact fusion can get strike'd.

So yeah, its just salt from decks that get shat on by strike most of the time, Dimensional Barrier is a card that must be hit over Strike, BUT not banned, put it at 1 and D.Barrier will not be a problem at all. In my opinion at least.

Not any more than any other type of ED monster. Mutual Linking or Extra Linking also isn't even necessary if you don't want to do it, but it's true you'll probably want a decent amount of them. I never understood the whole 'if you play burn you should kill yourself' argument especially when it has defined non-specific counters that neuter them pretty bad while also being good side deck cards in their own right (Denko/decree are two examples).

Compare that to rat cancer/master peace kings turbo which have very few/no real non-specific or even specific counters as they have cards to get around their counters (e.g. Barrage getting around flying C and plussing off it).

Despite that the more visceral hate is always on burn which is way easier to side against as there are cards you would main (strike/barrier) that are relatively useless against burn and are easy choices to side out in game two.

I'm watching 5ds currently. It admittedly lost direction after the Dark Signer arc, but as far as we know that was caused by outside factors, not by shit creators themselves.

I'm on episode 116 currently, and I'm having a pretty good time. I do skip filler episodes, but they are surprisingly few (in comparison to what I expected). Then, Crash Town happened and honestly that arc was actually quite great.

The tournament finally started, too bad the second duel was extremely underwhelming and now the arc halted. Shooting Star Dragon was pretty hype tho; Scar-Red Nova not so much but not horrible. Hope the plot revives soon, more filler at this point is just poisonous for the expierience.

The current main meta decks are Paleozoic/Frogs and 60-card Infernoids with Grass Looks Greener.

Previously we were essentially in a tier 0 meta with a deck called Zoodiac, but their main combo has been neutered, though they're still very playable.

True Dracos/True Kings are an important deck to keep an eye on, they'll be coming out in the next main set. The two most dangerous monsters are Master Peace, The True Dracoslaying King; and V.F.D. The Beast.
