In Pub you should never play as a position 5 hero. NEVER.
Position 5 is a sign that there is no more farm(gold and EXP) left on the map, which never happens in pubs.
Now, position 3 and 4 is fine: You get your level and Items needed to work the hero properly.
Just don't fucking play position 5 in pubs. Its a sign that you think you are helping, but you are hurting your team because its now a 4v5 game where the position 5 is a glorified ranged creep with cosmetics.

How do we fix bloodseeker? Or is there a way to build him to be viable?

He's able to farm like a madman(bloodrite kills ancients so fast now), do good area denial while providing vision, buff heros(with drawbacks), fuck with slark's regen, go super speed, rupture(not so great, but ok vs some escape heros) etc.

Sometimes I feel like people havent tried hard enough with the hero. Like, the last time pros played him they were building midas on him for some reason.

No. In Pubs, you should aim for position 3 if you want to play Hard Support.

Aiming for position 5 put you into the really stupid idea that you shouldn't farm. So by the time you have to roam/gank/smoke gank, you don't have the levels or items needed to pull it off in a easy manner.

Been thinking, isn't bloodseeker x tinker a pretty good combo? You could roll BS as a support and they would work really well together.

Thirst lets you hunt down escaping kills, bloodrite gives area vision, blood rage buffs tinkers spells. It's like a match made in heaven.

I am losing enjoyment in dota 2 because the game is so rigid in available roles. Like the only roles that are actually really fun are the core roles. Mid, carry and offlane. The support role happens to be the only role I can perform properly or care to perform for that matter but playing support can be total aids.

ESPECIALLY... when you are losing.

Its fucking horrible playing support when you are losing. I have had games where I was stuck on just arcane boots at 25 mins into the game because I literally could not afford anything else. The enemy team had 3 heroes with shadow blades which means the support has to spam sentries and have their wallet raped.

FUCK! How do you properly handle invis? I feel like I shouldn't have to spend 3k gold a game on sentries. Gem is usually not the right answer because the cores don't ever want to carry it and the support is too weak to carry it.

How do you beat a drow line up? Pretty much just in 15 mins against drow, sniper, venge and some other ranged heroes.

How do you combat the push? No split push can push faster than that garbage and how do you properly defend when they are all hitting for 100+ damage by the 15 minute mark?

I am not complaining about it but I am wondering about an "answer" to it?

Also side question. Why is drows aura global like that anyway? Hell why are there "global" auras to begin with?

Today I was playing Enigma, one of my favorite heros in the game. I reached level six at around 7 minutes, and purchased a smoke of deceit in order to stay hidden off the minimap from observer wards. I instructed the ember spirit in the middle lane that I was going to use my black hole ability on the enemy meepo, and I needed his assistance in order to secure the kill. However, the ember spirit did not react promptly and the meepo ended up living, and securing a double kill on both of us after the duration of my black hole spell ended. The meepo gained vast experience from this event, and ended up taking a set of our barracks at twenty minutes. We stopped defending because it could not be stopped. Meepo was too strong and had the aegis of the immortal. I was blamed by my teamates for losing the game, and it hurt my feelings.

Was it really my fault that I lost? I believe I made an excellent play. In professional games, it is a common and effective move for the enigma to secure a kill mid and push the tower. Any input would be highly valued, thank you /d2g/
