it's because his ULT on it's own rarely gains any kills, unlike kill based ULTs that can wipe out an entire team with one Q press. Reinhardt and Zarya's ULT are stun based and require a fallow up action after they are used. It's during the fallow up that all the counter play can happen and why the ULT fire off speed is so fast, with little to no counter play.

being a hammer down with no fallow up is just a small health hit. The Rein walking over to smash everyone into paste can be countered by pretty much everything in the game. It only takes one stun, sleep dart, hook or even just shooting the Rein to death to render his ULT worthless.

The higher the kill ability of an ULT, the more you can counter it as it's happening. Its why you get time to run from Dva's and McCree just stand there glowing.

His ULT is countered by good shield work zoning the Reinhardt into only being able to hammer down a couple of people. Then the rest of the team can counter him after the ULT. The changes to Winston and adding Orisa should help with in game.

It's teams trying to get away with running no shield tanks that get just raped by a good Reinhardt player. Even more so if your team is just stupid and trying to run say two non-shield tanks vs a good Reinhardt. Like a Dva and Roadhog pushing up too far forward.

Orisa is best descried as a fucking Frankenstein's Monster, while her Gun is arguably a minigun the "Heavy" influenced design choices basically stops there since the other shit with Barriers and movement stopping is fucking all over the place.

I mean, Sombrero at least had her Gimmick front and center and stuck to it, Orisas supposed "Traffic Cop" is less so.

The fire rate is not increased. The pitch up is just a sound cue. I have a sneaking suspicion it's inspired by the supposed effect adrenaline has on hearing; reducing the perception of deep or bass-y sounds.

L4D2's adrenaline needle did it too.

So I finally hit level 25 and played my first competitive match. Didn't go well. We held them into overtime all three times on Route 66 but they made it, meanwhile my team got blanked in the end. I got at least 3 Gold medals out of it.

I just want to one trick my favorite hero. I know it's not good and not competitive to one trick especially if the enemy team is countering you, but it's depressing to me when I have to play something else.

Not that the other heroes are lame or anything, but I just happen to have way more fun with one particular hero than the rest of the cast. It kinda turns me off the game a little bit.

Does anyone else prefer one hero greatly over the rest? How do you convince yourself to play other heroes? Are you just driven to win on a deeper level than I am? Or is it something else?
