SMT games already have traversable maps, this will just allow you to actually experience the world by moving through it. It doesn't have to be massive, just have interesting things to do within. I think it's cool being able to walk up to quests and see them happening on the map in real time.

My only issue with open world is when the development of the world obviously took away from the main parts of the gameplay such as dungeons, demons, etc. That doesn't necessarily have to be the case for this game though considering it's probably long ass dev time.

I believe that's true, since I managed to fuck up my fourth playthrough on the second-time neutral run somehow, despite being in neutral zone before Ichigaya. The fun thing was that either way after pathing with Jona or Walter I was getting either Law or Chaos-only which essentially was like... the matter of entire amount of points that you need to get neutral +/- couple of points.

I probably was at full zero or -/+2 and was missing this small amount of points to get a neutral in the end. Literally every action was giving me everything but fucking neutral, I was mad as fuck.

Persona 5 looks really slick and its style does justice to a lot of the demons. SMT wouldn't look exactly like p5 if they used the engine because they would make adjustments to better fit the tone but the cel shading is tight as fuck
