Thats been the case for me so far. I have a really tough time ever getting past a first generation.
In 2 and 3 I could reach half a dozen generations without being bored to death.

I don't mean to drag people down with that sort of talk, it just sucks that it happens.

Hopefully, someday in the future, it'll be worth actually investing the time (or money) to play.

Grid is on, cant decide on ratios, what do you think /tsg/? Largest place in ts4 is 60x60 right? I was thinkin about makin it like, 3 sqares on pic 1 in game. Would prefer to keep it a comfy, somewhat small sized place. The crosshair in the entrance room would mark an 1 block wide wall, which is 3 in the pic.

Anyways, do you stick to ratios when you copy a house or just use the original as a rough guide?

Also when I made this house I didn't use any inspiration or idea. The only real Idea I started with was I wanted a pool in the middle and a basketball court. I think you could make the house easily on giant grid. Sometimes you don't realize how much room you really have

Honestly the helipad is a bit too much. Its ok on a tall skyscraper but not on a normal house. It should be on ground level.
The out thingie windows, i would replace them with actual walls so you can put something cozy in there like sofa's or chairs but its personal preference.
With the easy shittalkin out of the way, its pretty ok. Needs more curves but technical limitations...

I miss the chimneys and the nice greenhouses with the watering things... ts4 needs more content

The helipad was in the corner by the 2nd pool, but I had a huge space on the house where I didn't need anything else.
I don't care for it much either, but I had so much $ from my home business I wanted to make the most expensive/extravagant house.

I tried lots of windows just for natural lightning and it looks nice with the backyard pool I thought. Most of the back windows are just big open rooms with misc stuff and the dining room. I didn't like the idea of spamming lights everywhere.

I'm not sure if I have any real "cosy" rooms. The only rooms I put effort into was the master bedroom. It has a living area, bathroom/dressing rooms, hot tub, and then upstairs study with a balcony that wraps around.

With some of the rooms later I was struggling with ideas on how to use them. That's how I ended up with the helipad on the house because I had too much room. I'm thinking about even changing the backyard a bit and adding a full pool house with kitchen or something.

I still need to do a lot more clutter/can do more plants around the house too.

I remember when I made houses on sims 2 when I was 12 it would just be one massive room with no windows and hanging lights spammed everywhere. This house has pretty minimal lights inside because of the windows.

I'm also not even sure if my greenhouse works without a room, but it won't add one.

I could replace the hanging windows, but I don't like the idea of building the wall out just for the sake of a sofa or something. I really don't need more room in the house desu.

I wish there were more misc art decorations in the game. Medium sized ones that can take up space, but not massive like they are two stories tall

The Patreon one is just the beta releases which often include early access to new features but in a testing phase. The public one is often just a stable release with the current features.

The performance hit is probably due to how loads more townies than it usually does compared to other neighbourhoods, along with festivals and other dynamic events that happen in the district squares. My PC is fairly outdated and gets a significant performance hit. But with a good PC it's probably barely noticeable.

Just uninstalled Sims 4 for the second time this year.

It has potential in the future but the expansions and packs really just aren't doing enough to make the game feel like it isn't just the base game still.

And this is coming from a dumb bumpy who just bought the new expansion, game pack and 2 stuff packs last week.

I'd wait and see what happens with the next expansion, personally. I don't really have a whole lot of trust that they know what the heck they're doing after the previous two.

Worst comes to worst though so what the other anon said and pirate it.

BUT KNOW THIS: It will make it very hard to go back to previous games.
