Nice shitshow while I was away. At risk of triggering people, I understand why people would think that Asriel's backstory is just a cheap way to make you feel sad for Flowey but it does a good job of explaining his actions up to that point. His arc is melancholy definitely, but that doesn't make it "objectively" bad, which is a shitty word to use anyway because there's no objective standard for good and bad characters.

No it doesn't. If anything it makes Flowey look like complete idiot since he choose to reset over and over. His reason for going crazy is dumb when anyone remotely smart would have just stopped resetting and waited for something new to happen without being a serial killer first.

The fact of the matter is that Asriel deserves everything that happen to him since it took almost nothing to make him start killing. I have no idea why people ignore that.

I drew the picture with the intent of it being more 'symbolic' then what the actual events were. From what I understand, within Undertale's Genocide story, by the time they fight sans, The Human was pretty much going by 'Chara' , wearing Chara's locket and using Chara's knife, and Chara was nearly 100% in control. But, the body itself is still somewhat Frisk's and 'The Human' is still acting with Frisk sort of at the wheel but strongly under Chara's influence to the point that they aren't "Frisk" at all during the entire run (and they don't become Frisk around/after this point on the True Pacifist route). And Flowey, at this point in Genocide, is warning Asgore (now that I think about it, I wonder how that went considering all the times the human reset).

But for the sake of the image, I wanted to use Chara themselves 100%, with Flowey helping them (nervously). And since I added the Human's Brother, I thought that I might as well add sans' Brother as a ghost or something.

Plus, Flowey helping makes the image look cooler, because of the vines and friendliness pellets covering the Red half while Sans' bones and Gaster Blasters cover the Blue half.

Anyways, the point of the image was to represent how the Human and Sans are opposing forces. By that, I mean that Sans represents the concept that 'stops' or 'counteract' the Human's "Determination" and time manipulation.
