Depends on returns and how quick you get to a point where you're sustaining really but yeah you make it back. Eventually you can sell any excess strands since you'll never run them all due to all the returns. You can also drop a T5 shaper orb on Mesa and get a bit of side cash from those since they are a top tier T10 map that sells quick and in huge amounts.

Shaped Promenade is also a good map to run. Quick, fast, drops T15s which sell pretty quick, especially Abyss. Not as easy as Strand obviously though due to being 3 tiers higher, and can be a pain in the ass due to statues. Volcano is a good replacement.

and it's still a boring-as-fuck spell with no interesting properties. frostbolt's only interesting property is being able to cast ice nova or vortex from its location, but you aren't talking about an ice nova or vortex spec.

freezing pulse has built-in freeze chance, ice shot makes chilled ground and is capable of shotgunning in groups, whispering ice makes chilled ground and has pure int scaling on a 7 link, vortex has one of the biggest base damages in the game and because spell damage affects dots produced by it, a hrimburn can make it create the biggest ignites in the game (sans flameblast)

I understand, and that's why I personally didn't just do strand. I did mesas, gorges, shipyards, promenades, estuaries, beacons and volcanoes and others I forgot. He asked for a shaped strand build and I gave it him.

People just see others doing 100% Shaped Strand and see that they're loaded so they wanna do the same thing. I can see why some people would only do that map, but to me it's just another league starter thing while you build up money, jewelers, chaos, etc until you can afford to do something more fun.

Last league I did the general atlas thing and didn't understand how it worked. I got nothing but T6 racecourses for an incredibly long time and I loved it, had no idea why I stopped getting them after a while. When I hit red maps and only got constant garbage maps like Shipyard, Excavation, Necropolis and others I got fed up and stopped playing, then seeing people do nothing but fun looking maps like Shaped Strand, I obviously wanted to give it a go this time.

In order, that's boss not killed, boss killed, and boss killed with bonus objective fulfilled.

If you don't want the map in your drop table, don't kill the boss under any circumstance.

You can drop any map you have completed, or only maps linked to the map you are doing. On mesa you can drop strand, for example, but you can't drop a T2 map you have not yet completed.

So if you never complete shitty maps, unless you aren't doing a map connected to it, you will never drop it. That's what you "map loot table" means.

The only reason I'm playing a double-dip build this league is not because it's going away in 3.0 and I wanna get one last spin out of it, but because GGG recently nerfed my preferred abusable mechanic scolds+zephri's. Whats going on with the cold breaches ( tul right ? ) and the big rares that spawn insides the cold vortex things ? like they have a ton of health, I'm being slowed down by a lot even with max cold res, when I move out its fine, but then it also feels like the rares have less life or something ? I dont know at the start they're really tough but then its like I hit them harder and harder, as if they had a buff that goes off after a few seconds in the breach. I've noticed this with different builds.

yeah the leaguestones are pretty disappointing in maps honestly. Eventually I don't bother picking them up because they're either boring, do nothing or are just outright shit. I always pick magic ones up, but they drop like every 10 maps. Very disappointing imo.

I decided to gamble like 15ex on random shit instead of buying one because my build uses the retch anyway so now I have about 30-40ex of currency and like 20ex in sellable items as well as my gear which is about 25ex
To make money all you need to do is play at high level and not reroll characters all the time, like instead of spending 12hours at 1-80 areas you could grind at 90 for 12 hours and do 10x the amount of maps with higher rarity/quantity items, as well as getting lucky :^)
