Ok realtalk, no trolling, no shilling. Just finished the main storyline and did as much of the side stuff as I could squeeze.

Yes, it is as bad as people say. Most of all the dialogue. I haven't come across a more unimaginative, hamfisted and dull dialogue in decades. I don't give a fuck about the facial animations or how the walking animation glitches, etc. that shit can be patched. The dialogue is atrocious and you can't patch that. It seems the sjw/feminist/anti-white comments were spot on no matter how ludicrous they sounded. I guess Bioware made a mistake by hiring all the female coders with agendas.

Not one of the characters is interesting or has a personality. Maybe and this is a big maybe peepee and Vetra have some originality to them, but the others are total cardboard cutouts. Even the Ryders. How am I supposed to feel for these protagonists when they are boring and unappealing af? You can't be good or bad, rash or calm, combative or peace loving, there is no variety.

The story is meh and derivative, playing it safe makes it dull. The combat relies on bullet sponges and the jetpack's appeal wears off fast. Side missions are annoying with few exceptions.

The only good aspects are the great atmosphere on planets/habitats and the not-maco. The rover is pretty neat and driving around is enjoyable. I also liked the research and resource gathering, but it's very specific gameplay and I doubt everyone will.

tl;dr: it doesn't feel like a Mass Effect game. It is ok and can be a time sink with lots of stuff to do, but at the end of the day I wish I had waited for a crack. It is an enjoyable generic space game, but sucks as a Mass Effect game.

Tediously boring game. You go from one empty, unsatisfying place to the next to get bombarded with more meaningless shit that takes another five minutes to do, but before you can do that you get ANOTHER five minute miniquest because the game is an autistic spaz with ADHD. There are tiny bubbles of accomplishment, but you have to really power through a lot of tedium to get to them.
Overall the game just isn't fun, doesn't deliver on what you'd want from a Mass Effect game and is a poorly polished open world cash-in.

I started a new run in ME2 after many years. I have 2560x1080 ultrawide screen and while Flawless Widescreen seems to work well it causes issues with some of the elements in hud. Are there any fix for this? Targeting reticles are fucked up mostly. I love the game and it looks awesome in ultra widescreen but this is fucked up. I thought after all these years there would be some kind of fix to make the game perfect.

You know what minor feature I'm appreciating? That "the journey so far" codex section. In a game with so much going on, it's pretty useful, especially the companion tabs so you can see how you're progressing with your squad. A nice touch. Probably a decent clue as to what plot markers are relevant for future reference too.

Apparently you can get that face far paler than some of the other faces. I had no idea. Most of the dark skinned presets I've tried have no real pale skin tone options. Then again, the not particularly dark Asian preset 1 doesn't go nearly that pale, and it doesn't start out dark.

So can any class equip any powers, or are there just a few powers that are exchangeable between all classes?

If you use a power outside your class, for instance an Infiltrator using Throw, will it just be less powerful than if a biotic class used it?

Is the Explorer class basically "meh" in everything, but more effective than a class using a power outside of its specifications?
