Save up all gold 120 days before each expansion (6100g). This means saving for the next set starting the 18th of April. You can craft remaining top legendaries without the chance of pulling them from packs.

Hello friends here is a story i'd like to share with you :)
[1\2]
>>171829569
Stories are fun
how do you beat this tavern brawl as f2p with only basic cards?
is it even possible?
>>171829569
Thank you for joining me on this amazing adventure :)
[2\2]
>>171829634
you beat it by pre-oredering un-goro and buying 60 of every pack and the adventures
>>171829634
basic mage is the strongest basic deck
just stick in as many chargers / "actually good" cards as you can while dumping obviously bad cards
you only have to deal 30 damage, and 2 x fireball + 2 x frostbolt is over half of that
bold dreamy conspiracy theory: these 2 free packs we got will actually contain all of the quest cards

The odds of getting a specific card for your first turn can't be that low
You have 2 in your deck of 30 cards and you have at least 7 opportunities (3 cards, all of which can be replaced + your first draw) to get one before it's time for your first turn.

The amount of negativity about this game on this general is unreal. People complain about everything (and feel entitled to so much more free shit) which I guess is the nature of 4chan as a whole but come on.
Yes Blizzard is exists to make money but for a free to play game this game walks the line pretty damn well. I play this game on my PC and my Phone, what other game can you play anywhere and anytime without restriction?
I pre-ordered ungoro pack and am saving up gold for the next expansion aswell, will I be missing some cards still? Yeah ofcourse.
People complain about this game comparing it to Magic stating its pitfalls, I am sorry did you get free packs of Magic cards every 1.5 days for just playing? No.
Did you get a free pack almost every week for playing some weird ass mode everyone was looking forward too every Wednesday in Magic? No.
Could you rip up allot of your shitty commons in MTG to get a legendary? No.
Maybe you guys should check out some real card games before complaining all the time. I know this will get hated on and that's fine the point of this post is to make us reflect and hopefully appreciate what we have instead if taking it for granted, Blizzard quality, fairness in a f2p model, and an amazing game that I personally enjoy everyday.
So lets take a moment and just be grateful for this wonderful game and know that the people who make it are people too and they can't live without earning a paycheck either. I think they deserve a round of applause for the delicate line they walk for a f2p game while not falling into the obvious temptations (Activison) of just milking us to death with micro transactions.

>>171844832
I don't know how they'd implement it into regular matchmaking, I suppose you could roll with 3 decks and your opponent can ban 1 but that'd also put a new strain on newer players meaning it would be very unlikely to happen.
Good concept for keeping the ladder interesting though I suppose.

Malygos Druid has been a strong control/anti-aggro killer since WotOG, verging on being the best deck in the game at times. I feel it comes from confidence in his read of a heavy tourney meta, considering you give up extra deck slots for anti-aggro tech for a slightly more reliable control matchup compared to Jade Druid, also considering it's one of the hardest decks in the game to pilot correctly as opposed to BrokeBack incarnate

Quick Shot is gone. Drawing bad cards so that later you can draw good cards is not a winning strategy. Something like Tundra Rhino or something like 2-drop 3-drop / 4-drop 1-drop will be stronger. Pit Fighter is rotating, but I'd play it over this card.
This card is a bigger Gnomish Inventor that doesn't give you good cards, and kills your tempo to play it. If it's the best thing Hunter can play on 5 then Hunter just won't be played.
And THAT, Rogues, is why you're getting shit this expansion.
>>171854163
Drawing 2 guaranteed bad cards at 0 mana left is better than drawing one random card with 1 mana left. I bet you think tracking is bad. 1 drops aren't even bad, you just don't want to be top decking them turn 7. Wow, how can we avoid that.... Hmmm...

Once I have been under the impression that Team 5 designs all this bullshit accidentally, which is why they get an incidental flash of brilliance in a sea of Yoggs, Mysterious Challengers, and Tunnel Troggs.
Then I heard Mike Donais speak and I realize this might be all on purpose. They actually plan all this shit and the meta ends up being a reverse of what they've planned.
Fwiw, I think the rogue quest would be easier to activate than most people seem to believe, but I'm nost sure the deck based on the quest would be viable. But if Mike Donais suggests they designed it to be strong, it's going to end up a complete opposite.

>>171856086
>>people that want a control vs control meta are so fucking stupid, it just ends up being who can shove more and more greedy shit in their deck which is usually legendaries
That's only because the only wincon a control deck can run is fatties or a combo.
A decked opponent needs multiples turns to bite the dust, there's not barren glory or shit like that (ancient one is a vanilla minion, so in the end it just eat removal), and lockdown isn't sustainable so it must run a combo.
But then people also want combo to be nerfed and they whine about control being unfun when there's no combo deck to keep it in check.
So we got aggro vs jade (essentially low curve control) and no combo decks.
>>171856845
draw rng affects control vs control just as much as it does aggro vs aggro and playing fat legendaries on curve is not a more complex thought process than using your life total as a resource and playing down 3-4 turn lines on how to efficiently use your weapon charges.
So why don't these "pros" craft an unexpected deck for the tournament that just straight up counters the counter to the expected deck?

Hearthstone constructed is a shit game where once the optimal aggro and curve decks have been figured out, they cant be countered. The game needs A LOT more super specific tech cards that arent shit in other matchups. The anti pirate crab is a good start because it has decent stats.
Eater of secret should be a 3/4 for 3 for instance, it still wont be particularily good against non-secret decks, but it will be playable. Team 5 has a fetish of making shit "counters" whose design shows that they dont understand the basics of tempo. See defias cleaner which is supposed to "counter" Sylvanas.

my point is that making a tech card worse than vanilla stats is inexcusable. A tech card should be at least vanilla stats, because even playing premium statted vanilla minions is too bad in constructed. Theres no excuse for eater of secrets being a 2/4 for 4 for instance, or Hemet being a fucking 6/3 for 5. Even if they were vanilla statted the meta would have to be very specific for them to be included.

On the plus side, some of the most cancerous cards for control mirrors like Elise (irrelevant because of Kazakus) and Brann are rotating out, but on the other, warrior gets a new control card which should tell you all in what direction do they want to take control decks. I don't think they're going to print many strong elementals. Some classes already have them like Shaman and Mage with water ele but it looks like the new elementals are going to cheap cards mostly with strong cards that benefit from "if you played an elemental last turn" so that's why you'd run it to have more stuff to trigger those cards especially if you're playing a deck that doesn't already have good elementals.
Personally I like it, they're making cheap cards you don't necessarily want to just vomit out on curve. That said it might not be strong enough and these decks just get rekt by decks that do just vomit shit on curve every turn.

>turn 7 I have a 4/1 azure drake, he has jade spirit and 2/2 jade
>drop doomsayer, trade drake
>he can't clear it
>turn 8 drop rag, brings his life to 24
>he goes wide, jade spirit 3/3 and jade blossom 4/4
>lmao flamestrike, 8 damage to 16
>goes wide again, 3/6 taunt, 5/5, 6/6 jade
>lmao flamestrike again, and volcanic potion, rag hits for another 8
>drops topdecked aya, 7/7 and 8/8 jade idol
>"my magic will tear you apart"
>fireball him twice in the face
lmao feels so good when jade druid cant into mulch
>>171861540
>Enemy minions are frozen after they attack
reminds me of some cancerous yugioh stuff
>>171861039
It prevents competitive advantage by word getting out of what certain people are playing through gossip/streaming/etc. which is necessary, but it does take out a bit of the wackiness and surprise factor for the viewer
>>171861550
>turn 7 and his jade was only 2/2
congrats you beat someone with a bad draw
So we all pretty much know that no quests will be relevant and the game's Top Tier decks for the following months will be consited of the various epics, rares and op low cost 1-3 drops that they of course are NOT revealing until the last day before the release. I mean , wasn't it always like this ? Flashy shit is shown on stream and actually op-valuable cards are discovered by streamers on first week of release.
>>171859636
Faeria beats them all.
he needed just those cards to kill me
>freeze meme wins the game
Fuck off
I FUCKING TOLD YOU ABOUT NEIREA
RNG IS WITH THE SLAVS
I might be high rolling all my games but i'm seriously starting to believe gang up patches is a real thing that is being slept on

>>171861489
Yea it's a good card.
>>171859917
Conceal Rogue does not belong, for that deck leaves the mortal confinement of our 3rd dimensional minds and transends into a 4th dimensional reality.
How about a targetable quest?
Choose a friendly minion. It gains quest: have this minion survive 5 turns.
Reward: deal 30 damage to your opponent.
>fun and interactive
>>171861785
>so we've pretty much concluded everything about the set having seen only a quarter of it
>>171861785
Nah, people will actually have fun for the first 2 weeks or so until the netdecking beings and it's all about how to we stop the best deck in the format, and how do we stop the deck that stops that deck?
Misplay, lose, like it should be.
Remember
Ice land is leaving in rotation
Blizz knew
>>171861934
Decklist?
>not playing reno at 27 health
shiggy diggy
Freeze mage is one of the very few legit combo/control decks there's ever been in the game.
>>171862151
And it's been cancer since Emperor
>>171860885
It can freeze face. Trash.
>>171859207
doesnt work because blizzard insists on open decklists in big tournaments. Hidden decklists would allow for so much more skill in deckbuilding and smart counterplay instead of just "being the best at piloting the latest lineup of netdecks"
Reminder that this card will single handedly make Murlocs see play. A quest reward of a 5 mana 8/8 with battle cry "Draw 10 cards that combo with your deck" is insane, especially for the aggro deck you run this in. Not to mention the quest is summon and not play, so your Finja is worth 3, you can run Call in the Finnishers for +4, and the 2 drop that summons a 1/1 murloc and the discover a murloc is worth 2, meaning you can get this card off almost always by the time you need to
U jelly Hearthbabs?
>>171862212
If you choose to sure... you know you pick the target right? It's a mini frost ele
why does this Chinese guy have a Norwegian name "Palmblad"?
NA LUL
>>171862257
>summon
this shit is fucking broken, how easy is that to do
at least everyfin is rotation out, or else it would see play
>>171862257
>Call in the Finnishers
funny enough theres actually no pun in the name, its called Call in the Finishers
>>171862212
Does it say randomly freeze an enemy? I didnt think so.
>>171862257
I'm excited for it desu. If there are no new murloc buffing cards like seer or warleader though they'll continue to be weak to board clear.
>>171862312
Nevermind I thought it was deathrattle
is production just giving frodan these exotic blazers?
>>171862296
blizz should have discards mechanics outside lock...
might never happen
>>171862467
>they'll continue to be weak to board clear.
which is why you DRAW TEN MURLOCS after they already used flamestrike
>>171860497
>tfw when remember when Garrosh was the face of "you mad, aggroshitters?" posts
>>171862385
Yeah this is easily going to be one of the top cards of the set imo
>>171862397
My bad. I didn't give blizzard enough credit
>>171862467
See >>171862613.
>cgook vs kgook
gonna watch virtus.pro vs mousesports on nuke insted desu la
>>171860885
If elemental synergy is going to be strong in classes that aren't shaman, this could see play simply because it stops pirate nigger from hitting your face for one turn.
>>171862052
The decklist i'm using is more flavorful than practical, but free 1/1's and sometimes three 2/2's are every strong
>Brian "Just Coke My Shit Up" Kibler
>>171862385
I'm looking forward to everyfin shaman in wild with this
>>171862882
whats the backup plan if Patches dies after turn 2?
>>171860885
This is fucking broken.
>have 50 druid cards quest
>finish it in one Tavern Brawl
It's nice to see the art for the +20 attack Jades. It's pretty fucking neat.
>>171862752
>cheater-strike
ew
>>171862257
It's fucking too slow for a murloc shaman deck.
>>171862296
>used to play manaless dredge in legacy, a deck that involves playing zero lands in your deck, going 2nd always and going over max handsize to then discard a card to your graveyard, bring it back with a mechanic called dredge to basically play your entire deck on turn 2 and kill the opponent
>if they play this on turn one in game 1 the proper play is to just concede
>>171863127
>empty your hand for the quest
>get a free refill
this is as aggro as it gets
>>171863040
that's why squire is there to give you something else to play turn 1, there's also your opponents patches other than that though you could possible shuffle enemy minions like drake you could also hope not to draw gang up after patches is dead.
>>171863125
*flips a coin*
wow it landed on heads :o
>>171863127
>too slow
>all you do is empty your hand of murlocs
>>171862246
Remove blizzard from tournaments.
>>171860885
freeze hunter?
>>171861176
They just removed ice lance, we have at least a year if not two before we get any freeze related cards.
>>171862000
Hes just saying whats happened the last few expansions. Last one they revealed a lot of cool stuff that never got to see play and then on the last day Small Time Cancer was revealed which turned out to be the most OP overplayed card of the expansion.
>>171863354
*toggle aimkey*
wow i landed on the head :o
>>171863539
lol
>>171863127
Turn 1: Play quest
Turn 2: 2 drop that summons or 2 drop or 2 1 drops
Turn 3: 2 drop that summons 2 + 1 drop
Turn 4: Call in the Finishers
Turn 5: Anything, Quest Complete
Turn 6: Play Megafin slightly off curve but that doesn't matter because it's an overstated minion
>LovelyGook
>>171863040
to add most of the time I hard mulligan for gang up then play a 1 drop pirate with gang up on three
>>171863113
Yeah I really like the gold jade cards, they look really nice
>>171862296
>Magic fits in the card effect and flavor text into the text box without making it cramped
>Hearthstone cards don't do what the text says they do because it would be too much text for Ben
>>171863113
How to get the jade train rolling? The every turn +1 summons overwhelm me even before turn 10. I don't own aya
>>171861550

The 2 Ooze's are your friends. Destroy the weapon and the counter resets. The weapon has only 1 durability so even the shitty Ooze deals with it.
>>171863594
what's so funny? im pretty sure i didnt tell a joke
>>171863871
to be fair it is one of the strongest targeted discard options ever printed
but it's not good in every matchup and it's a HUGELY skill-testing card, you have to understand your deck's gameplan as well as whatever your opponent is doing so that you can figure out the correct card to pick. It's not so obvious like it would be in HS where you would just pick Reno every time or something.
>>171864020
The 1 mana pirate works too
>>171860885
I worry that it'll help aggro more, since it's an aggressively costed 1 drop that stops their biggest minion from trading
>>171864020
>mfw accidentally played tirion into mirror entity and it ended up resetting the weapon
>>171863113
>they powercreeped the game so hard you can beat a cheating AI
Lol?
>>171864020
Oh, I was not sure if the mechanic works on the brawl, that will make things much easier
Does anyone actually like the rank system in Hearthstone? It's so fucking stupid and outdated.
Why not just have a proper MMR system like every other game? Ratings and hidden matchmaking rating, etc.
Instead of this grind bullshit every time.
>>171864391
Their weapon is gone for 1 turn, but it comes back as a 0 attack one
>a wild firebat appears on forsen's irl drunk stream
>tfw no firebat bf
>>171864157
I use the new Ooze because it's a great minion to drop on the turn when his Party Crusher become 4/4 giving you a clean trade and better board state for your turn.
>>171864330
If you give him the Tentacle arm weapon from Warrior with Blingtron you can completely fuck it up. It plays every card it can if it has mana. So it will play Tentacle weapon, destroy his weapon and then re-equip the regular weapon everry single turn. It's hilarious. Pulled it off only once in like 30 games but it was hilarious.

I can't manage to get the golems that big in the brawl. Maybe because my deck is f2p.
>>171863636
You forgot
>finish off the turn 6 curve with a 1 mana Murloc you more than likely got from Megafin
>>171860885
holy shit this will be annoying in arena. As if mage and rogue arent strong enough already we now have this shit on turn 1 every single gmae.
>>171862212
This game is so random anons from /hsg/ are starting to see the word random at every new card revealed.
Scary.
>>171860483
Personally I prefer a game with better mechanics and no anime art.
