I plan on making a Macedon siblings team for defense - catching people offguard with gimmicks seems to be a surefire way to get at least one defense rating.

Already have 5* Maria and hope my 140 orbs can get me a 5* Minerva sniping greens on the upcoming banner (I also don't have a green 5* so I'll hopefully get a Hector or Hawkeye to feed someone Death Blow).

Well, while the Falchion still is kinda required on lvl 40 dragons (BLUE dragons, Nowi, Femui, Ninian) to OHKO, the Brave Sword+ turns Chroms 53 Atk into 90 attack.

Because it's 45...doubled.

But, keep in mind, defense calculations are PER HIT, not HIT TOTAL, so it's defending quite a lot of 45. In the end, that's the difference in literal first strike necessity (rare, such as enemy proccing Pavise in between your double) and some Blue units 0x2 your hit (any blue armor or most armors). It does also give him the opportunity to Proc Sol/Aether all-the-fucking-time, though.

Falchion is still a better anti-dragon, but a truly strong Atk (Chrom, Cherche, Effie, Ogma, Alfonse) and low spd (same units) make damned fine use of Brave weapons.
