Does the MP difficulty feel wonky to anyone else? Bronze and Silver feel no different from a difficulty standpoint. I was in several Bronze matches that had 2 of those big brute monsters and 2 of those orange floaty guys on the field at the same time in waves 6 or 7, making for an absolute clusterfuck. I used to be pretty damn good in ME3 MP, frequently soloing Gold matches when none of my friends were online, but Bronze in MEA can feel overwhelming with low level characters and gear.

This is exactly why story driven AAA RPGs should not have MP. Takes up resources that are sorely needed in what should be the main and only focus of the game: delivering a good story that is shaped by the players many choices. It also bring retards like totalbitchtits to say "the MP horde mode is great and the combat is fantastic and you don't even see the issues that are plaguing the singleplayer. two thumbs up!" which softens the blow that should show the devs that the game is shit and in dire need of an overhaul of everything except the combat.

It does need some adjustment, honestly. Bronze should be tailored for characters level 7 and below. However silver difficulty needs to be upped slightly along with offering more experience. Gold needs to offer even more experience.

I just finished the game.

This shit is bad. The writing is so fucking horrendous it isn't even funny. All of the animations and jank aside, the writing is the worst part of this entire experience. Every characters speaks in cliches. No one has their own voice except maybe Peebee once in a blue moon. It's hard to connect to any of the characters because of this, but it's especially terrible with Ryder. The decision to take away the ability to determine your character through dialogue (every dialogue choice is either the same thing said slightly differently for times or Harsh comment vs Kind comment, and even then the word prompts usually aren't accurate) really brings down the game. There isn't enough variety to decide what kind of Ryder you want to be and the game does nothing to define the character itself. I had no reason to give a shit about anything that happened to Ryder at any point in the game. It was just really depressing and disappointing how bad this game was.

There's no infinite/invincible vanguard spam for one, even the Asari annihilate/lance seems not too good even with the shield drain mechanic, and everything has increased cooldowns. Also no power melee.

Instead, guns have taken front and center, so gun buffing classes probably do the best. Case in point, the infiltrator. Invisibility is stupidly OP as ever, there's no reason not to use a sniper, and you're gonna spend all your time reviving pubs/the only one doing objectives anyways. Every other class pales in comparison, especially to the Salarian infiltrator with it's shield regen power and the Angaran, with stealth grid--team invis.

I'll be honest, the story is weak, and you can tell that they either rushed the game or were lazy fucks about it by the amount of repetitive fetch quests and the animation. The game was obviously made by the C-team.

With that out of the way the gameplay itself feels tight and intuitive, the crafting system good in my opinion, even if is dragged down by the tedious need to scan every thing, and the game has a few diamonds in the rough like the viability system, which makes it feel like the things you do matter. The waifu bait helps too, in short it is good enough that it deserves to be bought when the price is lower and the patches are in, or when they release a complete edition with all DLCs that they hopefully will be making.

I like that with the alternative mode you can pretty much run over buildings, you'd think a game in this state, and using BF's engine, it would just glitch the fuck out when you tried to crash into them.

Tolkien was pretty good at world building, especially with incorporating self-made languages into his mythos but Hobbit and LoTR are basically just travelling diaries most of the time. It's really not a contrarian view. As enjoyable as the books are, you can't really say that he was an amazing writer. And he created the cliches, doesn't make them any less annoying, but you can delve into it and enjoy the ride.
And as nice as Asimov's stories are, they're basically the opposite of Tolkein books, because there's hardly any description of the landscape, there is no action, plot comes over the dialogue, 2 characters talking conveniently let each other finish etc.
