because it means you blizzard mobs for 75% instead of 65%, which means you get more ticks in, which means you need to clean up with arcane explosion less (or sometimes not at all, if you're doing it correctly), which means more mana efficiency and faster grinding

Arcane Concentration is way more important than Piercing Ice/Frost Channeling since when you're aoeing you'll be hitting many enemies at once. That means more clearcasting procs. You also want shatter for Frost Nova->Cone of Cold combo.

While Clearcasting is potentially better you get a 2% chance for it to proc per point, where as you get 5% less mana cost straight out the door, and by the time you start picking Arcane talents you'll have access to conjured mana crystals so mana shouldn't be a a problem, I never had severe issue.

Also the 5% covers ALL of your frost spells so I still think it's far better.

For the part about shatter, the problem as I mentioned in >>171797591

And seeing as Blizzard can't crit Shatter isn't really effective in this case. It's an amazing single target talent and there for good in PvP.

Also one quick tip, Rank 1 spells arn't useless, in fact don't use anything but Rank 1 Frost Nova it as the exact same effect as the other ranks but cost far less and the difference in dmg is minimal. Same goes for Frostbolt, 1 sec cast (with talents) 40% slow (plus 10% from chilled) is absolute amazing, it makes kiting so much easier. Also Rank 1 CoC is good for that instant multi target slow. Just because they do less dmg doesn't mean they have a lot of utility.

There was originally an exploit where you could abandon your pets via script command, which allowed warlocks to abandon their pets (they can normally only dismiss them) so they could re-summon them to generate a new name.

If you're in this for PvP, might want to go alliance. Horde are absolutely foul at PvP at 60 (though great in the 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, etc brackets).

I don't think there is anything like that to show useful rewards specifically, but you go to the vanilla database (db.vanillagaming.org) and go under data to zones, you can select a continent then zone which will bring up a big list of quests - you can then click to sort it by reward.
This won't highlight what you'd exactly want, but you can then hover over the rewards to see quests you want to make sure to grab, then when you do that you'll see links to pre-req quests if any, or it will for sure be mentioned in the comments from someone back in the day.

For specific class stuff, you can google something like "1.12 rogue leveling weapon progression", as it's likely someone at some point either asked or posted a mini-guide in some forum. Even something like "when to replace whirlwind axe" will bring up a buttload of forum posts because the game is 12 years old and most questions have been asked at some point.

If you are a paladin, be sure to ignore any posts from any site by theloras or killerduki as whatever they are saying is surely 100% incorrect.

Starting January due to real life issues I won't have any free time at all to spare on playing vidya for about 9 months.I am only having fun when I play on fresh servers(tod, poleground). I am only interested in playing versions of the game I experienced during retail(TBC, Wrath, Cata). Gummy will probably release a couple of months before I become unavailable so the only real options I have are hellfire relaunch and Northcraft but you guys shit on both of those servers and you are probably right.

Is Mage for PvE and Hunter for PvP a good idea? I've never played this shit game and I wanna see what all the fuzz is about but I also don't have the patience to level all the classes to 60.

AFAIK Mage is accepted in raids because is the best dps class and Hunters are just foolproof easy to level and pvp with... and to be honest I don't really care about any other classes except priest but leveling a healer as my first class sounds like a stupid idea.

THIS. I rolled a shammy this time around on Elysium and I sort of regret it. They're pretty fun pve wise as chain heal is awesome in raids and keeping totems down can be fun. But wow they can REALLY suck in pvp sometimes. Ele is only good if playing against a PUG (never happens) cause they don't focus you, plus current itemization is pretty shit for ele. Enhance is literal meme for anything other than leveling. And resto is basically a gimped pally.

And not only are they CC vulnerable but they literally have NO cc. At least pallys get HOJ.

Healing in PvP with a shaman is one of the more fun things.

Think of yourself as an offensive healer. You have WF Totem, Purge, Grounding, and Earthshock -- use them. Hide around terrain and get those heals off and counter any other healers and purge everything. Do your best to Purge everything Paladin puts up.You can't really go wrong with Orc or Tauren.
