these Rito are very distinct from the WW ones and assuming it's the same timeline I'd put that down to them having evolved into an even more birdlike form which no longer requires intervention from a dragon to fly. they probably just found their new location a more defendable location

Now with regards the Gerudo the problem is their reproduction process suggest their genes are dominant to the point of being overwhelming meaning changes won't occur due to mixing with other races. Thunder proof protects you from lightning strikes (you can get hit by lightning but it does no damage), unshockable makes it so you don't get stunned and drop your weapon when hit by electricity (or indeed take electric damage at all) and also seems to have the bonus of negating the effect of metal objects drawing lightning to you. I think you still take damage from a direct hit from lightning but it's pretty hard to get hit in the first place.

Lore-wise it's fine (although weird) for Link to always be a lefty; hell, the original hero was right-handed (Squidward Sword). The "intended" way is to light a torch so you can easily see the wind direction and follow the wind. Someone in the nearby stable mentions that the forest has a strange wind that he felt compelled to run away from when he went there, that's literally what you do to get through. In OoT you could peek through the door to see whether it was bright on the other side to know if it would send you back to the start, and could follow the music to reach saria, which was cool, but I think BotW's way is a lot cooler than even that.

I made a post a couple of threads ago about shield friction, since then I got my hands on another radiant shield and can confirm that, like the ancient shield, it can go indefinitely and even accelerates a bit on flat sand. Guardian shields I imagine would do the same but I haven't tested those either. Hylian shield is still trash for surfing.

Guess I should keep testing more shields so I can compile some kind of comparative list. Seems like there's three levels of friction- High friction like the hylian shield and rusty shield, medium which most shields (including royal, the one selmie claims is best for surfing) have and low like the radiant and ancient shields. That could be wrong though, it's a little hard to quantify. Maybe I can use items to mark a consistent starting place then to mark the comparative end of each shield's path down the beach.

It's perfectly reasonable to assume other Gerudo did what Rhondson did and set up shop in their new homes with their new husbands.

Heck even Rhondson might go back to Gerudo every now and then to resupply, trade or simply visit but her home is definitely with her husband

Gerudo defintely aren't temporary travellers nor are the new residents of Tarrey Town a model for the future

I don't think they wanted us to see a Gerudo or possibly even multiple Gerudo in every settlement but there's enough about that like a lesser version of the Zora they let you know about the Gerudo region before you get there

As for permanent residents besides Rhondson I'd say the Gerudo in Lurelin has definitely settled there.

I think coupled with what the Gerudo in Gerudo Town say about the town, Gerudo and relationships everything I'm saying is implied heavily if it's head canon it's certainly not entirely unsupported

Doing this I've confirmed that the hylian shield IS objectively shittier than normal (which I already knew but now I know by how much), it went about 80% as far as the rusty shield (which went the same distance as the savage lynel shield). I don't have a royal shield to test at the moment. Mind's eye shield also goes indefinitely at a high speed along flat ground, but since its durability seems much lower I imagine it's not as good as ancient and radiant (since you'll often be surfing on grass and dirt if you surf enough to care about shield friction).

Because it was confirmed as not being it by the games producer, Aounuma. The new continent also wouldn't have the new temple of time and New Hyrule has a new crest based on the King of Red Lions, not the Loftwing/Hylia.

Royal guard's claymore can have up to 110 I believe, the battleaxe has 108 with ancient proficiency so as >>171779459 said. Unless the battleaxe can have the +attack modifier, I don't think I've ever seen one with it.

Also there's an additional 30% boost for guardian weapons on guardian/ganon type enemies (50% for robbie's ancient weapons), meaning you're getting more like 140 from the battleaxe against those, making it superior for major tests of strength.

In all cases you want either triple attack food buff or in the case of the claymore barbarian armour and another food buff.

Finally took out my first Lynel.
You know what my issue with the shrines are? Not that they're in place of the dungeons, but that they all look alike. If there were say, an altar or pedestal where you obtained the spirit orbs inside of a small room or mini dungeon with puzzles and enemies and they all had a different look based on region, it wouldn't have been so repetitive. You could have a bigger dungeon with two or more.

How far can I push this?

Gerudo are probably the only ones who need to live segregated. They are, after all, some sort of hylian mutant that pose danger to the population if left uncontrolled.

Think about it. Every* Gerudo child is bound to be female. Gerudo vai are vastly superior than Hylian vai and are bound to push them out of the genepool if they were allowed to spread freely in the country. This would shift the sex ratio dramatically in a few generations. This is probably why almost all Gerudo are in the town. Not everyone was permitted to persue love.

With the decline of the kingdom, the segregation rules also disappeared. No one hinders the Gerudo vai to travel and fuck around. If order isn't restored soon, the Hylian race will go extinct.

I think the reason the beginning felt so great toeveryone came from the promise of it all. When we first started the game we had no idea what we'd find in the big open world, but now that we've explored it and settled into a routine, the mystery of "what will we find?!" is now gone: it's Taluses Hinoxes and Lynels. Even if you still find a cool little area you haven't tagged yet, you know that the one-time cinematic high-points of the divine beasts and ganon are already behind, so you know that there's not much to look forward to except the grind of equipment upgrades or koroks or whatever else you're after. Plus in the beginnning, we were getting one-shotted by mobs and knew that we'd get stronger and return later, but we all got stronger quicker than we expected and nothing's challenging.

I think that feeling was for many games though and I havent had the feeling so quickly. MGSV had the same issue once you got to the 2nd chapter and all the missions are the same as previous ones. Monster hunting has always been sort of implied. They're always around after Demise brought them to Hyrule, but without a leader they are disorganized and easily defeated. BotW has NPCs that often go out and fight against them. It would always be nice to have the fresh novelty of playing a game you love for the first time, but about 300 hours in the game is still enjoyable to me. "Cinematic" moments in games are almost worthless to me, unless they come from emergent gameplay, and BotW is like 95% emergent gameplay and I am still discovering new things that do have value to me, just obviously not at the rate that I did when everything was new. It's also a game I'm going to enjoy speedrunning.

Guess it depends on what kind of audience you are, though.

If you're trying to do the blood moon shrine quest, I'd recommend just keep playing normally and teleport over when you see the blood moon begin to rise at around 9 oclock, or reload an auto save from a little bit back first if didn't notice it right away

Also has the exact trigger for what causes monsters to go from blue, to black to silver be discovered? Only know of the theories that it's either tied to spirit orbs gained or monsters killed.

I think it counts as spawns (the keese swarm moves as one, so it's one spawn); the more spawns you remove from the game, the faster it has to repopulate the overworld

Is it that hard to think that it's just a change in the artstyle? The Rito went from winged people with beaks for noses in WW to actual birds in BOTW. Gerudos got pointed ears and doubled in Size in comparisson to OoT. Zoras changed colors. I think they just make what they think looks best without thinking about past designs.

Also, I've never seen it having a golden modifier, and I went there with everything but the final quests finished, all shrines etc.
I doubht it can have greater durability, only normal one.

Almost certainly. Not like that's uncommon even for real-life royalty. The signature giant ruffled collars of Elizabethan England were designed to prop up the slack jaws of the inbred nobility, even. Even for the moderately anime artstyle of the games, every Zelda besides the original (SS Zelda) has absurd facial proportions, with the last game chronologically (BotW) having the worst case of this, with a massive forehead and huge, round doll eyes plus a weak jawline. With the kings it's harder to tell because of their facial hair but yeah. It's also pretty much the only explanation for why every king and every princess looks approximately similar, though I'm sure it's often cousins and not just siblings that mate (and I'm sure various Links have married into the family as well, bringing a little bit of outside genetics with them since I'm pretty sure they generally settle down with Malons). And, I mean, it's the logical conclusion of a small group of people who are bound together by fate and all in love with each other being reincarnated into their own bloodlines again and again over the course of countless generations.
