And when they pass that part of the game, they will soon hit the reset button again, because they have too little practice with the rest of the game, because all they ever do is try again and again without working on ironing out their mistakes by practice like a stupid monkey. With a few exceptions (very short or luck-dependant games) you should never need more than 100 attempts at most to PB or you would spend your time better practicing and going for a PB later.

You don't get worse when you reset, you still have all the same experience as before.
