Can we discuss the relationship between raw and element for DBs?

After looking around, one person says that the eternal star blades are the best fire DBs, while another says Agnaktor Inferno.

The arguments were basically:

The only thing you lost outside of brave mode is the vault
The only things you gain in brave mode is vaulting, the dash and your kinsect launching after a full A combo or vault.

Personally I like it because the brave evade is useful and the style doesn't gimp you like adept.

Is there some sort of guide to fighting Lao Shan Lung? Like when to use the anti-dragon bombs (don't even know when you're allowed to get on him), optimal timing for ballista binders, and shit like that? Optimal timing for at least one of the binders if you're solo is when it gets into the Demolisher's blast zone. Use the Demolisher as its head reaches it, use the binder on it, go get the second Marcoal, use the Demolisher again. For multi I guess just use it on Lao if it gets too cheeky with one of the forts as a stopgap to its assault while you deal damage.
Also use up all the ballista and cannon ammo first, unless you have an endgame weapon.

Does anyone here have the Hori Monster Hunter X Cross Hunting Gear grip?

Specifically, i'm going to take it apart and remove the internal springs to make ZL and ZR less sensitive on it, then close it back up.
I heard everyone that owns this thing does it, and it's safe and easy to do.

People can hate on egg quests, but these days they're structured so at least there's SOMETHING going on.
So it's like, go get the egg, now go get it again and a rath is stalking your ass and different sections of the maps are blocked, etc.
Sure it's not especially compelling, but at least it feels like you're playing a quirky little side thing as opposed to just "ok now go here and get X things".
