I see that as part of her character. She is unconditionally devoted to Ciri and would do anything for her. She is confident and trusts herself more than anyone to do what is right for her daughter. If there was an in game choice in the matter, I think most people would have done the same.

Besides, Geralt goes around killing literally hundreds of people trying to save Ciri. No one died due to Yen's actions, not because of the mask and not because of the garden. My Geralt supports her 100% and it was a great gesture when she fully accepted the blame on herself. I would have like a dialogue option that would allow Geralt to say he supported her.

Oh come on now. Triss has done plenty of stuff in helping Ciri. It was her plan to allow herself to get tortured, it was her plan to use Dudu as Menge and free Dandelion. She came to KM to fight for Ciri, she helped them locate the Lodge and she fought against the Hunt again in the final battle.

The remaining mages clearly aren't capable escaping on their own. All that were already did that and went into hiding. Triss is the only one that cares and her having a life and ambitions outside of Geralt isn't bad thing. Whenever Geralt asked for help she came through. Besides, Triss and Ciri are nowhere near as close as Ciri and Yen. Same way I don't expect Ciri to show equal love for Triss as she does for Yen, I don't expect Triss to only care about Ciri.

Well, if you like Yen that much, than choose her again. Nothing wrong with that. I did one playthrough with Yen and while it was ok, it can't compare to my Triss ones. It was my fifth playthrough I think when I finally gathered the courage to turn Trissfu down and it felt wrong, similar to how you might feel turning Yen down.

I'm an autist who replays the game many times(currently on my 8th run, just finished The Last Wish) so I tried out all the outcomes, but for normal people who don't plan to do x playthroughs, it's best sticking to the major choices you like best and trying out different outcomes in minor quests to keep it fresh. Don't force yourself into something you won't enjoy. Personally I find the Triss romance a gift from the Gods, but if you don't like Triss, no need to force yourself into it.

I don't see how it is. Skjall is already dead and Yen wasn't the one who killed him. Torturing his soul for a few minutes for invaluable info that can lead to helping Ciri is an acceptable sacrifice, and so is the garden.

Sure, it's disrespectful to the customs of the locals, but looking at it from Yen and Geralt's perspective, it's completely understandable to put your daughter's life over peasant superstition. If I was given a choice to stop Yen from doing it, I wouldn't take it.

Well, if you feel Yen is the one, than go for her.

For my Geralt, that's Triss. I prefer how Geralt acts around her, I prefer their scenes, their chemistry and so on, but not everyone sees it like I do and I don't like convincing anyone to choose Triss or play the game my way.

I think the point of the game is to make the choices that will make the experience more enjoyable for you. If you're forcing yourself into playing a certain way, you might end up feeling fatigued as the story progresses. I know I barely managed to complete my whoremonger, let everyone die playthrough. Anyway, follow your heart :3

Acquired tolerance should be taken no matter the build, Poisoned blades is extremely good. Tissue Transmutation, protective coating and increased tolerance are very good. Killing spree is broken vs groups but useless 1v1. Hunter Instincts would be good if It worked but afaik It doesn't.

I would use a second playthrough to fix the small things and get your perfect ending. Then on the third you can try the total opposite choices. At least that's what I did.

The way that quests are given levels seems a little off to me.

Like, I did the quest to kill the chort in the cave near Lindenvale, I think it was, and that was easy enough. But then I go off to do the Byways quest, which is only maybe two levels higher, and there's a pack of ghouls, or alghouls, whichever the ones with small spikes and red skin are, and a water hag chilling out in the village I'm meant to search for clues, and I can't put a damned dent in them. I tried enhanced necrophage oil, lightning bolt, wyvern decoction, and even with all of that I think they're outhealing my damage output. The only one I managed to kill was the hag.

Otherwise, the game's good so far, aside from weird bugs, like books interacting weirdly with NPCs.

Do we have any idea of how many Witchers there are left in the world by the end of the series?

As far back as the first game they were talking about how Witchers were kind of on their way out but by the third most people seem to expect to run into them quite often, or at least they have a lot of familiarity with how Witchers operate, and put up notices specifically asking for their help.

Emperor Vhooris, facing ferocious oposition accusing him of leading the Empire to disaster, declares Emhyr's conquests as a result of his megalomania and lunatic dreams of conquering the world, and a pitful waste of resources, which granted Empire nothing but bloodshed and poor provinces that were too far north to be efficently exploited. He releases Cintra from personal union and begins long and difficult campaign to reorganise the Empire and secure own throne. Cintra regains soveregnity, under young king Vissegerd I.

In Tretogor, almost simultaneously to Radovids mystrious death, power is seized by Consul Sigismund Dijskra - with declaration of republic he rules as a ruthless tyrant, while Adda, who remains queen-widow is in fact a prisoner in own palace, and a trump card hidden until Dijiskra has hands free to deal with Temeria. He ends witch hunts, and begins his industralisation project. Forced by naval blockade by Skellige fleet, he releases Novigrad as a once again free city-state, were a continent-famous theatre presents great works of Dandelion. Skellige led by industrious queen Cerys gains trade priviledges and agriculture tech transfer from Novigrad. Dijiskra is also unable to control Temeria, and releases it, but engages in long war over Keadven, where five bastards of king Henselt united to restore their kingdom.

Temerian nobles elect young boy born of marriage between Maravel and Kimbolt families for a new king. Until the boy becomes an adult, kingdom is run by regency council, including one representative of each family, elder Natalis and a head, and royal sorceress Keira Metz. They boy is to be married to Anais LaValette. Ravaged by long wars Temeria regains its power in new times of peace. Plenty of monsters on old battelfields provide work for witcher Lambert, who suprisingly often visits Vyzima, and restored Blue Stripes led by Ves. Roche becomes first marshal of the army.

Aedirn is under rule of king Stennis, who still tries to regain authoruity over Vergen and Dol Blathanna - without success.

Triss at Kovir finally gets due respect among wizards. Frequently she meets Eskel, who wanders north lured by high prices per drowner head.

Yen and Geralt live cosy life at Toussant - I can't imagine that. It'll still take decades until Geralt will get Vesemir-old. What would he do all the time, between fucking and arguing, and returning to Yen?

Multiple endings are the best way to ruin a game for me. None of the endings mean anything when it's just "Pick one"

I've just unlocked Euphoria and holy fucking shit, my sword DPS almost doubled and my uninvested signs are suddenly rocking a 190% intensity and melt people.
