The fuck happened with the whole plotline about Geralt being the Wild Hunt's tool for killing in exchange for Yen's soul or something like that.

I expected much more development on The Wild Hunt and its reasons for existing and doing shit, and Geralt hunting them down. Instead you find Yennefer in the first hour of the game and then spend 60 hours looking for the biggest Mary Sue ever.

The game felt so rushed after that battle. All the Wild Hunt bosses were so easy too. I have more trouble against fucking foglets than I did fighting Eredin. The leveling system was stupid after finding Ciri too. You go from level 24 to level 33 in about 3 hours.

This is definitely the best game I've ever played but I wish they made the main quest way longer after you find a Ciri.

Its not even relevant. Only few monsters lore wise are fragile to silver, like lesser vampires or wights. There is literally no reason to fight gryffin with a silver sword. Plus, creatures like golems should be resistant to swords completely, and be killable only with signs/traps/bombs. I feel silly when mashing pile of rocks with silver sword, that should brake after five hits, for 10 minutes

Whatever happens to Eskel? I don't remember the ending talking about it at all.

In my first playthrough of this game. I just beat the story of the vanilla game and am moving on to the expansions. I used a signs/combat build, but I'm noticing that at the level I'm at (34) my regular sword attacks do far more damage than my signs.

Are signs even viable in combat? Doesn't seem like it's worth it at all. I haven't maxed out any path yet though.

Nope. Pure signs suck. They don't scale as well as swords. A mix between combat and alchemy is the best. Signs are for utility. I usually get Delusion 3/3 for the dialogue choices and forget all about the blue tree.

I hate doing the Hym quest with Cerys. My first playthrough, I loved it, but it is one of the quests I really hate replaying. Udalryk is boring, I don't care for him, the quest itself is not too interesting gameplay wise and the plot "twist" is only interesting the first time you see it.

Sapkowski hated the Witcher series at that point.

He wanted to write other things, and did have other things to offer to publishers, but they didn't want that, and he grew to hate what he wrote, so he ended it all, in the worst way possible - by killing the main set of characters in the stupidest way possible.

It actually only occurred to me today that that's what it might have been. At first I assumed that what the cat and dog said, about her fearing death and loneliness, had something to do with it, but the more I think about it the more likely I think it has something to do with his violent nature. Also, I do agree. I did love some parts of the main quest, and I think I'm in the minority that actually loved the Red Riders and the idea of dimension-hopping elf goths, but Witcher 3 seemed the most fun when it was about ghost stories with drama.

The latter is where they live in isolated cities (because of angry unicorns) and which they have to leave. I found Dragonslayer's Grotto by accident myself at level 8 I believe while exploring, a fucking level 20 Leshen popped up after I took a while clearing the toxic gas. Thank god it was vulnerable to igni and explosions from the gas being ignited.

Witcher 1, for all the faults it can have, was an amazing ride, and Witcher 3 was a good cap to the whole adventure, which I'm still working on ending, if the DLC's apparently got a better story than the main game, I'm in for another good ride.

There's a part in W3 where Geralt travels through a bunch of different dimensions to find someone.

So how come there's no part where Geralt turns up on modern day(-ish) Earth?

There should of been a scene where Geralt arrives in downtown LA and has to help some nerdy kids deal with some 80's style punks or a bit where Geralt has to help a small southern town deal with a monster.

Would of been a great call back to movies like Beastmaster and Masters of the Universe.
