Continuing from this, does anyone have any experience doing it? I've done a bit of programming, but never played around with this stuff. If tweaking the raw on a weapon, or a MV value is going to cause a bunch of problems, I'm not going to bother, especially with how hard it seems like it would be to test stuff. Nope. What you described is how I like to play.
Demon mode now gets a damage boost while archdemon does not. So if you want to do the best damage you have to chug dash juice and ignore archdemon altogether. It's just a poor design choice.

If you really want a specific gunlance, and you want a long-type gunlance, try brachy gunlance or seregios gunlance. If you want to fuck around with elements (which gunlance IS capable of), silver rook for dragon, lagia gunlance for thunder, seltas gunlance for water, agnaktor gunlance for fire. The only long ice gunlance is the meh ukanlos gunlance, but snowbaron bunny and kush gunlances are normal and both pretty solid

Quick reload reloads 4 on Normal, 3 on Long and 2 on Wide. The guy was fucking stupid and lacks any basic knowledge. Also doing more quick reload is even better because some monsters are fast and it's actually more important to GP on the right time and look for the opening or full burst.
