I know this is a super late reply but its not really -that- hard to find but I can see why its troublesome

Asura in general give a vibe thats "superior" to others despite their size, and with old gw1 lore of npcs and current shenanigans like the Inquest, its easy for players to see they have a very "no holds bar" attitude to things, especially in the name of ego and science.

Thats kinda important to know because its the frame work of asura and alot of people who have that sort of mentality will be attracted to it

The best way to find the non eccentric asura player is to kinda judge their appearance or speech patterns. Ones who are more elaborate or energetic with primary focus on self or science are kinda the wild ones. But there tends to be alot of softer ones, the only problem is that they tend to be quiet and hard to find or even drowned out by the louder ones.
That being said alot of the softer ones are male... and a higher quantity are gay, which tends to come with the softer smaller male 'brains over brawn' charater type
Not to mention females might be in smaller amount compared to other races simply due to them, lore wise, being just as loud, egotistical and commanding as males.

tldr: look for less in character (or at least less eccentric) female asura if you want a gentle one, key things being less demanding or more general vocabular usage

This is how GW2 worked before the Megaserver update. You also could put yourself into a queue to join a map, rather than spaming >join in [map] over and over and over again.
