I actually gave Dragonfall a chance and dropped it when it got so preachy. They re-added the two modding slots, in addition to adding a few more mods. That's it.
You still can't mod the ammo, that's still ability-based, and they didn't think of re-adding armour mods.
The mods also made your weapons look like complete shit, literally brown, and for some reason Bioware made some of them incompatible with others in seemingly arbitrary ways.

They DID add some good and interesting things, though, like cover penetration, ignoring defence, thermals, etc.
They should've also gone with ammo mods like Phasic/Proton rounds. Instead of ignoring armour, they ignore shields and some of the damage go directly to the next health bar.

Like in ME2/3? I never understood the change.
Not only for my own weapons, but it also meant that some squadmates had even less abilities.
In the second game squad mates has four skills in total. Two active and one passive, with another unlocked with loyalty. However, some squadmates (Garrus, Jack, etc.) had an ammo power instead of a third active skill (like Miranda, Zaeed).
Meanwhile, in the first game they had, what, five or six active? In addition to ammo being mods, so you didn't lose a proper ability to that.

That's also not counting the fact that they arbitrarily gave certain classes specific ammo powers.

Nier on PC is a terrible port. With stuff like fullscreen just not working. Mouse and keyboard controls being garbage. Game breaking bugs that stop progression if you use a resolution higher than 1080p or if you're using display port instead of hdmi. Plus locked at 30fps during cutscenes.
