A sec helmet is like a biker helmet, you try and do your job without it and everything will go wrong alongside people thinking you are a massive idiot anon. Be realistic, riot gear is proper armor you shouldn't be using in green, a helmet however should never leave your head unless shit has really gone south and you need protection/air is fucked.

Last time we were on the same engineering crew I asked them to cool some plasma and they did it without having to be taught or bitching and moaning about it. That's all it takes, just know how to do your job. They also did an interesting valve AAC script for air to distro which was nice and surprisingly few people know how to do this.

Also damn it's like when I talk into radio it's nice to get people who understand what you're talking about. If I want to complain about what a hassle it is to deconstruct an APC or how you always forget the order on unparking a nuke it's nice to have people understand what you're talking about.

I'm really new to this, but I have a few questions. So, for the TEG, the main effect on power produced is the difference of pressure between both loops and the flow rates of each, right? I know temp matters, but I'm guessing that's more toward a incidental thing due to high/low pressures. To make a stronger TEG, outside of fucking with flow rate, is the idea to get the temp and pressure in the burn chamber as high as possible, and then get as many mols of plasma as you can into the actual hot loop (by injecting cold plasma to the loop)? Because wouldn't there be more mols to heat up, meaning more pressure would be achieved? I also wonder about why people use a pipe instead of a pump/nonreturn valve for the connectors to the loops. Is it because of the fact pumps have a limit for injecting, or is it something to do with plasma being held in the canister is somehow beneficial? My last question is about the effect of non insulated pipes in the loops. Is there a significant affect on pressures etc when you place two noninsulated layer manifolds on the loop?

The best I got was 1.2MW using the little chamber thing with 5pump/scrubbers for each loop, but it fluctuated between that and 600KW

You can easily hit 2MW with 1vent/scrubber on each input, you should've upped your gas content if you were trying to push that much through at once, which was likely the bottlekneck.

I'm not an expert on the TEG but I know it operates off the difference of temp between the cold/hot loop and how much pressure you can pump through it.

Injected cold plasma into the hot loop to get more molecules is a smart idea but it takes FOREVER to heat up. It's really not worth it IMO.

If you really want to go autistic with the TEG pipe oxygen/plasma over from the miners as split them off as needed.

Engineering borg material synthesizer is absurdly overpowered and makes every material gaining job pointless once it scans a single of whatever mat people need. Especially if people just mass produce power cells and switch them when it gets low.

1mw-2mw is about the 'average' for the default setup, btw.

if you have 5 vents/scrubbers than it's pushing an obscene amount of gas through the system, more than 2 cannisters.

Scrubbers are kinda glitched in that they can pump an infinite volume into whatever they're connected to, so if you have 5 for each chamber, you can have a LOT of gas pumping through them.

Again I've never really pushed it but I've seen it hit 400MW with the default setup. It seems to continue climbing in power if you continually pump plasma into the burn chamber, but that requires lots of legwork between atmos/teg room unless you directly pump the gas from the miner into the burn chamber.

TEG, same as SME(if you set it up properly).
