Its an AoE reverse Wall (-40%ATK/MAG) + moderate fire resistance outside of the SB. It is arguably one of the best Unique relics.

It's what's called a reverse Wall. Instead of using SG or whatever to buff up defense and resistance, you drastically lower the enemy's attack and magic. As the meta is now, Wall is currently superior. But in the future piercing abilities become more prevalent, so reverse Wall is getting more important in Japan.

It's magic with a different Mana system in which it has the Mana "Stones" in it's own separate deck so your main deck can be min/maxed to hell and back. And it's from what a friend of mine said close to commander format in MtG where you have a commander there but FoW has a Ruler that taps for the Stones and has it's own abilitys too to help your deck run, and can be used as a monster itself if you pay it's cost.
Haven't tried Duel links since I didn't see the point really, and quit yugioh just due to friends not playing it anymore.

I didn't play a ton of MtG but I had a group of 4 where we made commander decks and would have crazy games. Ran a UG Experiment Kraaj deck for maximum shenanigans. Sounds pretty cool honestly

Well if I wanted nostalgia I'd play recent meta, it's still plagued by blue eyes. And I play a recent DM deck too for fun.
Also it is really fun, the balance isn't there just yet and the rotation is in september but it's still a new cardgame so they're buffing out the kinks slowly. I will advise though if you hate animu art style it might not be for you even if it runs smoother than MtG.

She's still a decent damage dealer, she's still a good human killer, she can still clear your entire party's status ailments besides stone, and she can still buff your elemental resistance.

Here's the thing anon, sadly, using non 6 characters is a bad idea, simply because
A) A Hidden damage modifier exists, so even at the same attack a 6* character will do more damage than a 5* character
B) The Ai is programmed to focus attacks in a higher rate on the non-6* characters, so if you bring them they will surely die 90% of the time
C) There's also a huge boost of HP just from going from 5* to 6* s that means better chances of survival
