Clarification time:
Can you buy your way to great gear and better sockets than most people? Yes.

Is the game Pay to Win? No.

In revelation, "winning" is 2 things: guild wars, and limited access cosmetics from serverfirsts or maintaining rank #1. In Mass pvp of guild wars, your mega gear won't be too ridiculous an advantage, as likely only 1-2 people in a given pvp engage will have monster cash shop perfect enchanted gear, while everyone else will be in standard equipment. They have an influence, but the power of 22 vs the power of 18 is manageable compared to the power of 3 vs the power of 1 you'd come up against in a 1v1.


arenas exist, but small scale are just one small part of the pvp available. Open world pvp, there's nothing to compete for. world bosses drop stuff worse than what CSers can get so why would they contest? In other games i've played, there were smaller-tier rare spawns that you might compete for, or open-world grinding spots where you'd pk the other group out of the best spot, but there's no situation where someone having CS advantage is really an advantage.

in dungeons, all the mechanics are 1-shot mechanics by the time you hit 3star or seal release, so no matter how tanky you get from enchanting your gear, if you aren't good and playing with good players coordinated over voip, you won't be getting serverfirsts with your p2w gear. your dps might be faster, but Its pretty easy to wipe on GB expert if you don't know the mechanics, and I'm sure the higher level instances are even more complicated. (there's so many mechanics to explain in gb expert it took my guild 2 hours to explain them and sidekick our lowbies through 1star to get them exposed to the fights)

Unles you get bothered just from CS Whales existing, They really have minimal impact on anything you actually do in this game, and they aren't a valid reason to not play.

yup, and it sucks because I actually enjoy RevOnlnie's mobility more than that of B&N with how the dash/flying/airdash/mounts/etc work here and how some classes are kind of cool like the gunslinger, but it's not enough to make the game enjoyable for the majority when it's full of bugs and issues and the graphics look pretty ass in comparison to other games.

What the actual fuck. Is there a gear farming guide or something to help me get my gold set? skyforge was just frustrating how you had to play shitty classes to level infinity before you could play the good classes. Dropped that shit right when I realized that.

When you look at the sheer number of things to do, revelation is actually a really solid game. The #1 problem is that the game is a massive burden of knowledge, and yet the support network for that burden is not yet set up. too manylinks lead to blank or generic pages that don't have the info you need. It is really easy to be not-doing something that is otherwise "critical" to your character development.

Hey, new to the general and new to Rev. I've been watching a lot of content from Cryy and this game seemed like it would be a great time, but I hear there's more issues than people are happy with, my.com has a part in it no doubt but I really thought this was gonna be the next 'IT' MMO. How's the game in general, and how is 1v1 PvP?

Yeah I was lured in by previews that made it look pretty good. And there are a lot of good things. I like it but honestly the best way to describe it is it feels chinsy. Like there's a lot of cool parts but not one in particular is very well made.

Is anybody here playing 2 chars at the same time? i think that , after the last patch, if you try to play 2 accounts from a same ip you get a soft ban of 30 mins or so.
How would this work? Wouldn't it make it impossible for 2 players from the same house to play the game at the same time too? Or people playing it in a LAN?
