Question about Princess Lucia :

the game didn't get as much love as others like xx2, but still you can get through it rather easily

The three items with mostly the same name and an icon of an oval are coins that some old guy in a house next to the brothel wants. He'll give you something if you get him one of each, and it's repeatable.
The items with a horn icon are monster drops, you can accept quests from the bar to acquire these drops, then turn the quest in for a good bit of money.

Spending time in the casino is probably the slowest way to raise corruption, and in fact you gain it so fast later in the game that there's an npc in the church that lowers corruption for you when it gets too high. If you have enough corruption, like 70 or 80 or something like that, you get an indicator near you health bar that shows you have high corruption. When you have that symbol it means you can get bad ends for losing to mobs.

There are five books to raise sexual knowledge in total; one in the library, one in the general goods shop, one in a house next to the brothel that you can only get after you give birth (at least that's what i think the trigger is, not entirely sure), one is in the slum kings house that you have to grab before defeating him, and the last one is in one of the houses in town that you need the lockpick skill to acquire.
The lockpick skill you get after finishing the bandit leader quest in the first area then talking to him in the prison. One of the options is to let him go free and he'll teach you the skill in return.

Are RPG-maker games doomed to be garbage? Or I just played too many and grew tired of the sub-genre they encompass?

I was reading on himework's site that the new WolfRPG uses a different type of encryption something using 64bit instead of the 32bit to accommodate games larger than 2GB.

If DXextractor was open source I would help contribute to it since it's written in C#, but the author hasn't been active since December and I think their twitter is just a bot on repeat.

well, you're not missing much, the ending's pretty bad. pretty much what happens is you show up to propose to her, but she's having sex at the moment. then there's a fake-out dream sequence where you get married to her. you wake up in the same spot as before in her house and that's it. your reward for finishing the game is a useless room with all of the H sprites. so really there is no ending.
In this regard 2 is definitely the better game, with a fairly elaborate and definite ending.

How do I get the hidden ending in NTRPG2?

Do I really have to grind up 10k gold by chopping wood, or what's that "item worth 9,9k gold in the ruins" thing about? How am I even supposed to get to the ruins before the epilogue of phase 0? I watched the0-phase ending in the book and now started another game, but whatever I do, I can't get to the ruins to get that item before phase 0 is over.

The problem is that corruption generally entails H content and vice versa.
Either you plug in a lot of H content while extending the length of the corruption arc, which results in little apparent change and just a lot of samey sex which defeats the point of a corruption game.
Or you don't add H content but do add story content, which cuts down on the porn-to-notporn ratio.

The story isn't tied together coherently but it didn't need to be because the gameplay was interesting enough to keep people along for that alone. That said, there are individual parts of the story (specific arcs and characters for instance) that are good in their own space, which gives the game its memorability.

Note that I'm not even saying the gameplay is as good as people say it is. People always recommend Kamidori and get into it on the basis of the gameplay, but retrospectively the only things they ever talk about are the characters, things like Kohakuren stabbing her toe into Wil's urethra, or how bullshit the endgame grind is. You basically never see anyone say "Hey, do you remember X map/boss from Y route? It was so good wasn't it?" Kamidori's a game remembered for its characters, even if everyone thinks it's known for it's gameplay.

I just download the newest version I can find in the usual places, then check its DLsite page for the changelog and try to find the update on the dev's blog if I don't have the latest version already.
It's pretty rare for the last pirated version of a game to be fubar'd (I can only remember Gears Freak v2.00), and I'll likely find out about it from its thread or from its torrent's comments rather than doing it the hard way myself.
Just do a bit of research and you'll be fine.

This game really is ridiculously tiny, I'll assume it's more of an interactive powerpoint slideshow than a game.

Relatively new translator here, wondering what degree of localization would be considered acceptable. The particular example I'm concerned with, is if something were to literally translate to "the x of the god of war", which isn't slang (which obviously should be localized), but is too generic to sound right in English, would "the x of Mars" be a suitable translation, or would that be too much localization?
