I just wanted to play SMT4. You know, I'm sitting on the work place 24/7 and bought 3DS, so I can play some long games like Etrian Odysseys, Rune Factory, SMT's, Dragon questst and something else, im not sure what 3DS really have. because there are no Castlevanias, no Ouendan, no Trauma Team, no TWEWY, almost no Kirby. Well, you got me.

I'm old SMT player, I played persona 2 both, on ps1 and psp, persona first one, 3 and 4, completed 100% Nocturne on Hard with all endings, Strange Journey Solo (its not really hard), played SMT: NINE, played IMAGINE, beat both Raidou Kuzunoha (both games pretty boring if you ask me), beat both Avatar Tuner and even beat Hitoshura in DDS 1, and got Amala Ring in DDS2.


So, I just wanted to play SMT4.

So you'd need to split the stats unless you want to go full agreement/luck and rely on crits/preemptive strike a for smirk. If you want to go Dex, go full dx/ag/lu. Although you don't get elemental bullets until way later, so you'll mostly be relying on status procs

Your strategy matters more than level. Obviously you have to have enough power to survive her attacks and deal damage back, but I'd say it's doable on War by the time you unlock Twisted Tokyo (after ichigaya, I think).

Make sure you have doping if you do it that early, demons and the ring that resists/bulls charm, and dark attacks on at least two of your party members. Make a demon with luster candy AND dekunda so you don't fall behind in the buff game, make sure someone else has debilitate or maybe one of your dark attackers have antichthon

My first experience with an Atlus game was EO4, which has an overworld but is mostly menu stuff for NPCs. So I thought SMT4 would be the same way.

I was pleasantly surprised to get to Tokyo. I previously wasn't too keen on the game up until that point but after I reached Tokyo I played nonstop til the finish, played through it twice more to max out the compendium.

I played through p4, p3, and about 1/3 of nocturne before playing smt4. I had no idea that the series is almost always set in tokyo, so I throught all of smt4 was going to be that era. The entire game blew me away with the mystique that they managed to create even though It was just tokyo. It's probably my favorite smt game just because of the world the crafted and the way the story was told (also bomb ass soundtrack)

He let out the demons so they would punish all the school bullies because he was sick of their elitism. And given that he was in a school for gifted students, they were probably more unbearable than the average bully.

It may be silly, but for that reason he is a very memorable protagonist to me.
He fucks everything up, he owns up to it and stops the immediate danger, and apparently dies in the books.

Megami Tensei even has some sort of secret and obscure japanese fanbase who seem to be really fond of the books and videogames, and have made all sorts of doujinshi, fanart and crappy fansites about it.
That really took me by surprise, I never expected Megami Tensei to be such a cult classic for some people.

You're still wasting your turns on mana draining/chakra using at some point, so you will be forced to use actually limited amount of mirrors by protag/somebody else. Its still costs a shitload of mana and far from trivializing.
