Yes it does only face one way, mainly because the explosion from a claymore isn't what kills you.

A claymore is a block of C4, with one side full of steel BB's, so essentially it's a shotgun blast from hell when it goes off.

It probably is for the user's safety, as well. Claymore's have a much larger kill-range IRL, so if it shot in all directions, it would be a big danger to friendlies as well as enemies, and it's tactical uses would be limited.

So claymores are designed to react to something in one direction and kill it.

I think Blitz might have the thinnest shield or some shit, maybe that's why it happens to him more often, but the easiest way to fix that would be to make his shield hitbox a little thicker.

Hey /r6g/, I'm continuing work on a massive project in Siege, all about shotguns and maximum ranges for consistent 1 shot downs on 1, 2, and 3 armor operators + rook armor if applicable. A video of the final results will be made out of it eventually, and I'm hoping this will provide useful information for others using shotguns, or at least provide ammunition for shitposting when the subject of the best shotgun gets brought up in the future.

As a test subject, all you have to do is pick a recruit (which one will be specified) stand against the end of a hallway in Coastline and be completely still until you're shot.

It'll be a ton of boring and repetitive testing, but if anyone would like to drop in to help out for any amount of time, join the co-op games room in the teamspeak. You don't have to talk or anything, it'll just be easier to join in.

Here's a look at the data so far. Tonight I'll be working on testing the semi auto shotguns, finishing up with the M1014 and onto the SASG-12. So far it's performing better than expected. If you have any questions about this project, please feel free to ask.

An update on the shotgun analysis: tonight we tested the M1014 on 3 armors and got started on collecting data for Buck's skeleton key.

As the first semi auto shotgun tested, the M1014 doesn't look too bad at all. I was expecting the max range to be a little closer from personal experience; it's almost as good as the M870 without a laser. It'll serve as a baseline to compare the other semi auto shotguns to.

Instead of going straight for the defender semi autos, I decided to get all the attacker shotguns out of the way which meant testing the skeleton key first. I'm very shocked at the results so far, having identical performance to the M1014. Note that the hipfire tests were done with a laser which isn't that common for Buck players, so I'll also be testing it without one as well.

New players are the cancer that complain about any high-risk high-reward strats because they're the ones inadvertently dominated by them.
Whenever major influxes of players get into high-skill-ceiling games they always blame the game or other players for being cheesy instead of just trying to get better themselves and learn from their mistakes. That's one of the good ways, but it's easy to punish peekers more aggressively if you know your angles since on most maps. Defenders have a lot more angles to watch out of the building than Attackers need to check themselves.
Prefiring common windows for peeks nets you easy kills whenever the enemy team is cocky and thinks they can get away with it, which is way too often right now since a lot of attackers make themselves easy prey by bee-lining out of spawn or just walking around in the open staring into space, not watching any angles.
Another way is to just preserve your drones and/or keep them outside. Watching for peeks with a drone closer to your spawn lets you pick up the drone and use it on your preferred path to the OBJ more easily, while keeping it inside close to windows they might try to peek from lets you use it to check for roamers more quickly. Both have their ups and downs.

The compensator on the VSN makes it practically a laser beam in sustained fire, so it's hard to prefer anything else. Plus with how fat and slow you are, if you plan to move outside of the objective a suppressor won't help you much with how loud your movement's going to be anyways.
Being a beta roamer with him isn't horrible though, as long as you're watching your back and ready to fall back into the objective if you lose a primary point defender.

Perma-smoking chokes into the objective so the enemy team can't see shit, cough loudly, and start off extra wounded when you counter-peek them is the easiest way to win hard objective holds.
Pair that with one of the best guns in the game (as long as you preserve your ammo) and one of the best shotguns for creating sightlines and rotation points, and you have one really flexible beta-roamer/point defender hybrid.
He's fun as fuck.

What kind of shit teams are you playing on?
Besides, she brings no other utility aside from her interrogations and silent step. You kill her, and she's no longer helping her team.
Bandit, Jager, Mute, Valk, and any other decent roamer Op leave behind additional utility for their team even if they die early on.
Pulse being one of the few exceptions to this gets his intel without directly risking himself, while Cav has to actually win a duel to gain anything, and good team-cohesion and trading nullify her ability almost completely.
