Here's what I'm thinking lately with the new pack. A Dragon deck with no ramping aside from turn 5 Miko. Use egg, Rahab, unica, etc to stay alive until turn 5, then Sahaluci, then Ouroboros. Ramping is already very inconsistent and tends to fuck up your curve. I think you can get away with just the ONE ramp card, everything else focused on mitigation and stalling.

Match 3 (Dragon 2nd): Blood win. Ambling Wraith into Blood Wolf into Ambling Wraith + Blood Wolf. Unica and evo'd Rahab weren't enough. The lack of Blazing Breath really hurt.
Match 4 (Dragon 2nd): Dragon win. Blood couldn't exert enough pressure, and Dragon safely reach Turn 7 where it could Sahaquiel Lucifer.
Match 5 (Dragon 2nd): Blood win. Dragon had no turn 3 play. Turn 4 Rahab and Turn 5 Rahab both evo'd could not stop the 2x Vampiric Fortress burn.

Thoughts:
Rahab greatly improves the Aggro Blood matchup by giving Dragon a great turn 4/5 play. Don't know if he's good enough to be a staple, but I expect Grim Reaper to be completely replaced by Rahab.

The idea is you can ramp into a rahab on turn 3, which will stall them pretty hard if you're going first.

Going second and ramping into it is more dangerous depending on what they play, but if you can pop a dragon warrior behind rahab to mop up their board on turn 4 then you're probably going to be in a good spot.

I think that's entirely misguided, though, because both of them (particularly Library) are ACTUALLY 2pp do nothing cards that don't even spellboost. With numerous new game ending threats now able to appear on turn 6, Dshift absolutely cannot afford to pass turns like that. Even Merlin just barely makes the cut, and she does EVERYTHING.

You might get somewhere with a tech Mutagenic Bolt, though.

I don't know why they design dragon cards the way they do.

I really wish they didn't design dragon like the timmy class. I wish they stuck to more card design like how Siegfried and Fire lizard work together. Individually they're good, together, they're great. Cards that should be played together but for that to happen you have to expend a lot of PP so ramping makes sense.

Funny thing is that my suggestion makes dragon more of a mini-combo craft than forest would be.

Lower the attack 1 point, lower the defense 1 point, or both. Any of those would be better than dealing with a limiter that has anti-synergy with ramp.

Still a decent card but the fanfare just highlights everything wrong about how they design dragon cards.

I've now put together 3 decks - D-Shift, Roach combo, and Bat Blood. Should I bother crafting stuff for Albert Sword or complete any other crafts, or just wait for the expansion?

If you look back to MTG it was a similar idea. While you could ramp into big creatures, there was often nothing special about them besides being big. Either dragon has to have nothing in their deck but fatties so they can outlast removal, or they need to have some fanfare, replacement effect, or immunity to removal.
