I'm triyng to find a good combo for Sharena.

If she uses a Brave Lance+, with Life and Death/Triangle Adept + Hone Attack/Bonus from Eirika she's able to OS a lot of bad guys like Ryoma, Lucina or taco.

Cons: less def/res ofc, we loose the debuff from her unique weapon and some blue units like Ephraim or Effie can be annoying. And if the foe have some bonus in DEF (sour/fortify), they probably can survive the first double-hit.

Xander/Cecilia/Ursula already cover the weapon triangle+colorless.
Xander would have Hone Cavalry inherited from Gunter.
Cecilia would have Triangle Adept and Fortfy Cavalry from Jagen (if I can get him)
Those two would give a +30 damage boost to Ursula with Blarblade.
These three function well together. Camus is just overkill at this point. He seems like the easiest to remove so I can get the arena bonus.

It certainly is now, and has been for the majority of its existence. The wars in these games are, generally speaking, so basic and underdeveloped that they literally boil down to "evil kingdom invades innocent peaceful nation because the bad guy is a dick," where the variance comes in between the games is chiefly in the cast and how they interact with one another.

Like I said, the "war" aspect of the games is just a mechanism to set up a reason for combat and strategy in an SRPG game. You can very well do exactly what the Fire Emblem series does in every single game from a foundational standpoint without always going to that (fairly shallow) well.

Fire Emblem is as much "about" war as it is about dead parents. Which is to say not at all, and that those are just things that exist in the games to serve certain narrative purposes. It's not one of the very cornerstones of the franchise that causes the rest of the game to fall apart without it.

That does seem like a very accessible combination, true. I would prefer a red backliner over Cecilia because a red melee is much less likely to get favorable weapon triangle matchups than a blue. However, getting a Leo (already rare) online would require getting a 5* Henry as well.

Either way PVP is probably a joke with this change anyway since the AI can't capitalize on optimal skill combinations anywhere near the way the player can.

I kind of want Vantage but I feel like I should save it for Nowi, as her ability to counter at any range probably would let her make better use of it.

How does inheritance affect how you match up in the arena? I learned a couple and suddenly I'm up against whales. I was still able to pull through but it's hard to avoid deaths when a +8 Eirika doubles my Lucina.
